  Lovely place

  We stayed here for one night and were met by Penny doing some gardening. The house is really old and amazing and the history of it is fascinating. Our dog friendly room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the house. The long room for breakfast was like something out of Downton Abbey! Breakfast was served fresh and piping hot and Simon was the perfect host. Well done Penny and Simon, you have brought life back into this fantastic house and wish you well with all your future ideas for the place.

  A great place to stay in Exmoor

  Great location in Exmoor, nice rooms with cake and a coffee machine. The breakfast was excellent. As a vegetarian, I'm used to pretty uninspiring cooked breakfasts, but the food here was a great surprise...I hope to return soon.

  Fabulous home from home

  Stayed for three nights at Edgcott and immediately felt completely at home. Our room was beautiful, the bed supreme and our homemade welcome cake was perfect. Even in the midst of storm Dennis the plentiful fires kept us toasty and warm and, when the need arose, the Crown Inn was just a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was fabulous and lasted us pretty much all day. Thanks to Simon and Penny for making us so welcome. Looking forward to more time in Exford very soon.

  A comfortable guest house with superb breakfasts

  We do not often visit a place twice, but this guest house is so good we had to come back, although it was quite difficult to get a booking. Rooms are well appointed and there is a large comfortable library and also a terrace and garden to sit in on a warm day. The breakfasts are superb and cater for all diets. The breakfast menu also varies slightly each day so we do not get bored with it. Penny and her husband are excellent hosts and are very helpful at all times. Exford is a good centre for local walks and paths to Dunkery Beacon start from near the house.

  Perfect relaxing stay

  What a lovely B&B, everything you could wish for, a perfect room, spotlessly clean with homemade cake, Nespresso coffee & a selection of teas, lovely toiletries even the towels smelt nice. Superb breakfast lots of choice it kept us going all day, all served at our table by Simon smiling under his mask during Covid we felt very safe. We wanted to stay another night but they were full, we will stay again.
