    Excellent short break

We returned from a very enjoyable 5 night break yesterday. On arrival a little disappointed to find we did not have a balcony/terrace as requested (but not promised). However this was quickly forgotten as our hotel room / bathroom was probably the best we have ever encountered in France - modern, well furnished, flat screen TV, quality bedding etc plus a beautifully equipped bathroom. Fluffy bath sheet towels would have made it even better. Location wise - a 10 minute level walk onto the main promenade; slightly more to the beach but currently mainly free parking if walking was a problem as we had dropped into low season. Breakfast was excellent as mentioned by previous guests - a good choice of fresh breads, croissants, cheese, yogurts, preserves and much more. A large outdoor swimming pool, immaculately clean with plenty of loungers, tables and chairs around (bearing in mind that the hotel was very quiet so unable to comment for high season occupancy) in an attractive setting. Smaller indoor pool at 29 degrees; again excellent water clarity. We would definitely return in the future.

    Will never return

We stayed in the residence attached to the hotel for 12 nights 4 adults in a residence to take 6. When we go to France we love the fresh food and love to eat it in.Tiny 2 ring cooker with a small microwave/oven. Our room had a balcony looking out of a busy road which was not ideal and very noisy. On arrival you are handed bed linen and towels to make up own beds maybe this is normal in France but arriving late at night on a Sunday due to flights and having to make up room not ideal. And with no shops open there was not even a loo roll. The room had a futon in one room for 2 people with a sliding door leading in to main bedroom so no privacy and other 2 beds where the pull out beds. When we made up the Futon and pulled it out there was a large amount of fluff and dust under it. Also, under the double bed. At that hour of the night I did not want to report it so just cleaned it. On checkout I just mentioned it to let them know and the receptionist was quite irate and said there was nothing she could do about it and when I said I was only mentioning it to let them know she turned her back on me.Pool area quite tired looking and steps leading in to pool loose and unsteady

    Last minute booking

We booked this hotel for a last minute stay when we decided to join family in the resort for a long weekend. First up, the room was ok. Fairly decent sized room with a double bed and a single bed what we dumped all our cases on and a fairly average sized bathroom. Extremely clean. The cleaners do a great job. The shower was powerful enough to wake me up in the morning, probably the deepest I've slept in a very long time thanks to the black out curtains but this is where the issues start. Oh to be able to sleep with a window open. Too many of these hotel rooms now come on a different part of the complex with a patio door. Its either open or closed. There is no airflow. Yes, there is air conditioning but that is no use for me as an asthma sufferer. My wife and I always sleep with a window open. This was just not possible here. Had we known in advance that would be the case, we wouldn't have booked this room. After 5 nights in this hotel on such a soft mattress, I'm already booked in to see my chiropractor to get my back fixed! Despite the amenities on offer, there seemed very little in atmosphere at the hotel. Yes, early September is end of season for a resort like this but even so, the hotel was almost dead. Do not bother with the breakfast. At 9 a person, it is an absolute rip off for what was on offer. We did it the first day, we learned our lesson and went elsewhere for the rest of the trip. Would I stay here again? Probably not in all honesty. I think I'd resort to hiring a caravan on one of the local campsites than stay here. Oh and special mention to the fellow stayers from Jersey with the people carrier. Why with a totally empty car park, did you park in the space allocated to my room? You absolute numpties.
