  Muy bien para esquiar

  Mi pareja, su hija de 8 años y yo escogimos este hotel para esquiar durante las vacaciones de febrero. La ubicación del hotel es perfecta ya que está a pie de pista, en el centro del pueblo (que es muy, muy pequeño) y justo frente a la parada del autobús. Si no esquías, no creo que sea el lugar ideal porque no hay mucho más que hacer. (Durante la primavera y el verano hay muchas rutas por la montaña para pasear). Todos en el hotel, los instructores de esquí e incluso los empleados del supermercado hablan inglés. Nuestra habitación estaba muy bien (con balcón frente a las pistas), TV y todo lo necesario en el baño pero eché de menos un mini bar. El restaurante es muy acogedor y el servicoio excelente. Los camareros siempre te reciben con una sonrisa. Perfecto conocimiento de los vinos (no sólo los austriacos) y muy buenas recomendaciones en este aspecto. Además disponen de una buena y amplia bodega. Variedad en el desayuno (cereales diversos, yogur, diferentes panes, croissants, miel, mermeladas, fruta, quesos, fiambre, huevos y zumos...) pero nada de dulces tipo tartas o pasteles. La cena muy bien para los adultos, con un toque de "nouvelle cuisine" y opción diaria para vegetarianos. El menú para los niños no me pareció tan bueno. Tenían dos cosas diferentes para elegir todos los días y una de ellas eran siempre spaguetti con tomate. Buena tienda de esquí dentro del hotel y la sala de botas y esquís enorme y ben organizada. La zona de la chimenea es ideal para tomar algo relajadamente después de la cena. El área de la piscina estaría bastante bien si no fuera por la cantidad de niños gritones y solos (a pesar de que no está permitido que no vayan acompañados de un adulto) que hay. Disfrutamos mucho de niuestras clases de esquí y los profesores son super atentos. Ya hemos reservado para el próximo año

  I hadn't been to the Edelweiss & Gurgl for several years and the recent renovation have made an amazing difference. We were in room 331, which I think hasn't be upgraded, but it was perfect for what we wanted (there was three of us in the room). My wife is disabled so some advice for others in a similar situation. Room 331 was down some stairs from the lift so not the best for my wife. Make sure there's no stairs to your room as some floors are split level. Our room also still had a bath which was difficult to get in and out of (but we managed). This said, our friends room, 326 which is south facing, had been upgraded and had a walk-in shower. The kids loved the pool and, especially, the kids club in the evening. My wife had an amazing, relaxing time split between the spa, pool and our friends balcony. A special mention to the staff who we all exceptional. Bolas, who looked after us in the restaurant, and Max and the team in the bar. Everyone was friendly and couldn't help us any more than they did. Highly recommend the hotel and we're looking forward to returning next year!

  It sounds hyperbole, but this is our favourite hotel in the world!

  This is our third visit to the Edelweiss - we initially came across it for a fondue evening when our chalet girls were having a night off... were so wowed by it, that we booked a whole week in 2019... and loved that so much that we returned again in February 2020... and have just returned from such an amazing week, that we have put our name down to stay again in 2021! I won't repeat my review from last year (it is on here), but in the last 12 months they have revamped the bedrooms... and extended the bar... and both are great investments. I believe they have plans next year to extend the restaurant, the spa and move the fantastic apres ski bar to a first floor locale... which all sounds great. What I wanted to say - and the reason why we are heading back next year again - is that whilst this is a great hotel with all the amenities you could want (ski in/ski out; amazing food; great spa; friendly bar; well appointed rooms)... what makes this one of the best hotels we have ever been to... is the staff. Every single person - from Tomas in the bar to Balint in the restaurant, to the amazing ladies on Reception - could not do enough for you. Everyone speaks as you pass them in the corridors, and most insist on having a conversation with you. Their English is impeccable (as I assume is their German/Austrian), and they come across as though every single one genuinely enjoys their job. As a discerning resident, this is so important, and at the Edelweiss they do this with aplomb. We will be back in 2021 (if they can fit us in!), and would recommend this hotel to anyone...

  Great hotel & Location

  Family of 4 had a great stay at this hotel. Plenty choice of food for breakfast and dinner and the quality was excellent. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. The Spa is very good and I would highly recommend the sports massage. A true ski in/out location right in the heart of the town. Highly recommend the hotel.

  Great hotel, fantastic service

  just returned - Group of 6 mixed ability skiers and we had an amazing stay at this hotel. My daughter is a vegan and they looked after her so well. Breakfast and dinners were very good quality with plenty of choice. Bar staff reception staff and dining room staff were very friendly and attentive. Spa is very good although some parents need to control their children a bit better. Snow was good and it all.added up to a great holiday
