  Just alright but ok for the price

  I arrived late and got a room on the first floor. Although it says that this hotel is smoke free, the hallway smelled like smoke. The room was pretty clean (the dusting could be taken more seriously) and the mattress comfortable. The bathroom was clean but in need of updates. I think the rooms could be more soundproof, I had a small child in the room next to me. Not the hotels fault and I would never complain about a child (I've been there) but I heard every word the parent said to the child to calm it down. Great location, close to shopping/dining/coffee and ten minutes from turnpike. Overall you get what you pay for.

  Disappointing stay

  Stayed here one night when our travel plans were unexpectedly delayed. We were first alarmed to see a sheriff car and unmarked vehicle out front. Once we walked in we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. The front desk employee was going to give us a room on the first floor, but appeared to change his mind once I questioned what was going on with the police activity. As we were completing our check-in (was around 10/1030pm), a U.S. Marshall and a few police officers came into the lobby with a young Caucasian man in hand cuffs. Awesome. So we went up to our room sort of nervously giggling about our bad travel luck that day. Things did not improve from there. The rooms are dingy, dated, and didnt feel or look clean. Stain on ceiling. Generally pretty gross. I was nervous about the bed but pulled off the quilt and slept on lumpy pillows, hoping for the best. Shockingly slept ok and dont appear to have any bites or anything. Skipped breakfast next day and went to diner down the street instead. Maybe someone less observant (like my husband, for example) thinks this is what $89 gets you. But before Id stay here again Id shell out a bit more money for more peace of mind.

  Skip this place

  Parties were all night, brkfst was a waste, no tea bags, The front desk was rude, He told me the price went up because it's summer rate now, I told him it's April. the place needs a good cleaning and everything smells of smoke. It's on my NO GO list. Plenty of motels up the road.

  Another good stay

  This is the 3rd time that we have stopped overnight on the way to the Jersey Shore. It was a Best Western the first time and the rooms have not changed very much. Very clean and spacious, also nicely furnished. Very comfortable king sized bed with good linens. Bath towels were also good. The breakfast buffet was very satisfactory.

  Stay someplace else!!

  Where should I begin? Upon walking in, noticed all of the carpets were very dirty and the place smelled like smoke. In my room the carpets had clearly not been vacuumed in a long time, all of the furniture was dusty and dirty, sticky marks on the glass end table, floor in the bathroom had dirt, some kind of stain coming down the side of the shower, ceiling tiles were stained, paint chipping on walls, bedding was clearly old and had stains, towels had stains. Door did not lock properly without fiddling with it. I complained to the manager about the floors and although it appears they did a quick vacuum, they completely ignored the floors in the bathroom! I would have left and found another place but someone else booked it for me as I was traveling, so made the best of it. It was not worth the price and they should be ashamed to be putting people into these rooms.
