Right next to the castleWe stayed at this hotel for one night, June 7-8, 2017. Right before the big tourist season. The location is fantastic right in the center of town next to the Castelo Odescalchi di Bracciano. It is a small hotel, in a historical building, completely renovated, large rooms with all the amenities including hair dryers and safes, many rooms overlooking the castle and the square, very clean and quite. WiFi included. A continental breakfast is also included, coffee and croissant, at a cafe at the corner of the street. We paid 60 per night. During the day there is someone there on and off, but at night there isn't anyone, you are given a phone number to call. There are at least 4 restaurants in this same square. If you are driving there is ample parking right in the square. We were going on a cruise from Civitavecchia, so we took a limo from Fiumiccino Airport to Bracciano, 90, about 50 minutes, then the next day the same limo company drove us from Bracciano to Civitavecchia, 120, a little over an hour. We had already been to Rome and this location was perfect for relaxing and getting over jet lag before our cruise. A quaint, quite, medieval town. Picture perfect. Lovely food and people. There are many nice shops.

Ideal for usWe loved this place! Our party consisted of eight people from grandparents to toddlers. We spent a few nights here and received an excellent welcome. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Although situated in the main square it was surprisingly quiet. It was more like staying in an apartment rather than a hotel since there are no staff in attendance so you have call telephone the manager if you need anything. There are lots of super restaurants on your doorstep and we found it easy to park nearby.

Exquisite stylish comfortable friendly Ecoalbergo Bracciano! We absolutely loved hotel Ecoalbergo Bracciano and its owner Gabriele! Ecoalbergo Bracciano is a gem of a find. Located in the medieval quirky town of Bracciano on the shore of the lake Bracciano 30 kilometres from Rome, surrounded by the lovely countryside of the Lazio region, the hotel is right next to the rather impressive medieval castle - Castello Orsini-Odescalchi. The hotel is right next to the castle's walls and the hotel entrance is from the main historical piazza right next to a fabulous restaurant. The hotel itself is superb. You can tell that the owners done everything with great care and taste. The old building is perfectly renovated beautifully and unassuming blending the historical traditional look, simple but stylish decor with modern comfort. Everything seems to be done impeccably with a great care for detail and comfort of the guest. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings of a palace, stone and wood, large windows with shutters open out to beautiful views of the castle and the medieval town. It's airy, comfortable, simple and stylish. You have everything you need - comfortable double-bed with quality mattress, fridge, large bathroom with large shower, a safe and a well-functioning wifi. There are several floors with 13 rooms altogether. You enter the hotel through a large hefty wooden gate that reminds you of the history of the building into an airy, tall and light entry Atrium that leads into the reception and the staircase. You can choose the sweeping staircase or the modern lift to access your floor. The owner Gabriele is an absolutely superb host. He speaks perfect English. Due to a bit of a SatNav trouble we arrived from a different side, so we phoned him and he came out all the way outside the castle walls to find us and direct us offering to help with carrying luggage. He was warm, efficient, friendly with great sense of humour and able to give us great tips for restaurants and local dishes to try out. We were travelling with our friends and so booked two rooms. He was apologetic for getting us the last two available rooms and that they were not on the same floor. So our friends ended up with large suite - two rooms on the ground floor to suit their mobility issue. While modern and comfortable the room invokes simple yet sumptuous luxury of the old world Italy. It's modern, airy, spacious yet has a touch of history to it. The breakfast was arranged for us at a quirky lovely cafe across the the piazza - pastries, orange juice and tea/coffee. Sitting in the sunshine in the medieval square being greeted by passing by locals (including a smiling policeman) was a treat. For dining Gabriele recommended a next door restaurant, where we were treated as a royalty and the dishes were absolutely gorgeous, selection of drinks wonderful and the desserts divine. It catered for the omnivores as well as the vegetarian amongst us. Everyone spoke at least a little bit of English so communication was easy. Strolling around the maze of streets of the town of Bracciano at midnight under the full moon was as much a treat as exploring them again in the sunshine. The views of the lake are breathtaking. There is a paid parking on the piazza outside the hotel. However, it's much easier (and free) to park at the back near the entrance to the castle. We felt pampered and welcomed. We are incredibly grateful to have found this place and are already planning a trip to Hotel Ecoalbergo next year for a special trip to treat ourselves. Highly recommended!

Just a Little Bit of MagicThis is just a wonderful place and everything that the website says it is. The building in the square right next door to the castle and the whole of Bracciano has such a great feel to it - safe, friendly and full of such history. There is something about walking on steps in the hotel that have been there since the 1200s! The rooms themselves are basic as a 3 star hotel should be with all the necessary amenities as per the brochure. Gabriel is a fine friendly host and I would recommend arranging transfer via the hotel. I can recommend this hotel - but please remember it is a 3 star and does not have some of the facilities of 4 star, but the building and friendly service make up for that.

ExcellentWe stayed here for two nights, a family of four, the room was very spacious and clean , the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. We ate in the restaurant at the front of the hotel and again we were treated with the upmost kindness and the food was delicious and affordable. We would definitely recommend this Hotel
