The Modern Beach Resort Near BangkokI spent 2 nights in this resort. It is about 1.5 hour from BKK via Rama 2 Highway road. It is a boutique resort quite close to Bkk. I stayed at two bedroom private pool villa. The villa N0.107 is quite private and very peaceful. The downsize of the resort is the villa is not designed well enough to utilize all the spaces available Coz the two bedroom r too small and both r on upstairs with only one restroom whereas the other restroom is downstai but it can be offset by the huge in front balcony attached to the sea. The quality of the food and drink here r reasonable and with a very good taste. Anyway I also like this resort.

Trendy Hotel, Trendy MomentsWhat constitutes to a stay in a hotel before a review can be written for? A stay of a few hours in their café so strategically located by the breakwater, took in the full view and embraced the cool sea breeze. I will review this hotel based on just that. Yes it may be cheating, but I just have to write about it, for I was immersed in total relaxation those short hours there and enjoyed the surroundings so very much. Firstly, the resort was very new and everything from dining table, flooring, pool and vibrantly colored outdoor chairs nested within the garden were in great conditions. It was like the pages out from some house décor outdoor garden magazine. Having the whole place to me on a Friday afternoon added more uniqueness to the experience. I had my coffee followed by pork chop steak perfectly cooked with the correct char where the fats were. It was well presented, the handwork likes of those chefs on TV. Chairs tastefully placed on imitation carpet grass fringed the edges of the resort by the sea, would be nice to unwind when the sun got lower, the temperatures cooler. A cozy pool behind the café restaurant offered a dip should there be times of year where scorching weather and blinding sun. As for the rooms, the Jacuzzi type I believe, from the outside they looked fabulously furbished within. They were double stories that ran parallel sides of the resort. They looked a bit small though but I cannot lay facts to any perception I have for I did not stay within. There was an awesome suite right by the side of the café restaurant, it had a personal dip pool facing the ocean. The sense of seclusion, well on a weekday, most likely you are going to have the whole resort to yourself. Unless you accidentally stumble in on dates in which they have seminars. This hotel has seminar packages and if your group is 60 or so, I guess you can have hostile takeover of the entire resort doing anything your group wants. Pricing wise, it was on the high side to fit my business travel this region. Family travels of more then 2, well I guess the units do look too small for that. As for couple vacation, priced right and I guess it did be perfect if you are looking to escape from everything. The nearest 7-11 was a driving distance away. There were a number of rustic restaurants next to the resort, but really the food was already great within so there will be no need to dine out. Sound pollution, heavy bass and screaming techno trebles, none in the immediate vicinity. Peace. Among all accommodations I seen this region, this was one of the most pleasant.

Nice Hotel, With A Few Cautions.....Stayed here for a couple of nights in May 2016. Its a fairly new property and my friend and I had the place to ourselves for one of the two nights. We had booked, I think, the superior room, which turned out to be very tiny, stuffed with two double beds and one had to shoehorn oneself into the bathroom & shower. Clean, but small. The manager, very nice people and staff all around, took us around to look at all their room offerings, which included a "deluxe" room and several types of connected two-floor villas. The deluxe room was very large, nice king bed, big bathroom, though I believe they only have a few of such rooms. The Villas all looked very nice, upstairs bedroom(s) and downstairs living and kitchen rooms. There was a decent if small beach area off to the side of the hotel, backed by a residential street with some homes, and a jetty and breaker straight out and within view. The small balcony on the superior and deluxe rooms was adequate.....don't miss the sunrise, it is spectacular. There is a "famous" outdoor seafood restaurant a short drive (it is walkable, maybe 3-4 km away), food was good and it is right on the beach. The hotel itself sports a nice bar and restaurant outdoor arrangement on the beach end of the hotel, and a "made to order" breakfast was included, very good. The dinner fare was quite tasty as well. Now, a few cautions.....first, the rooms I have mentioned, just be aware that the superior room is very "cozy", so if you like a bit of space, go with the deluxe or a villa. Second, this place is also set up (and presumably promoted) to be a company meeting / conference getaway, and so if you wish a quiet time, you may wish to check if anything is booked for your planned dates. Lastly, the shape of the hotel is basically a horseshoe, with the restaurant / bar at the beach end of the two arms containing the villas and rooms, the centre of this configuration is a garden and pool, very appealing. But, this is where groups, and not just company outings, will be enjoying the evening and perhaps a few adult bevies, so along with a bit of fun / hooting and laughing, there may perhaps also be some karaoke into the evening hours, which may be a bit more lively than those wishing a quiet stay.....and you will certainly be able to hear all from any and all of the rooms and villas. During our couple of nights, a group of friends and family arrived, taking several of the villas.....nothing too loud and certainly not disturbing to our enjoyment, but I could certainly see where this might, with some additional revelry, become an issue. I would just recommend that you try to get a sense when booking your stay if there's anything that might be a consideration. That said, we had a nice stay, good food, set up nicely for a large group to use for meetings and / or night time parties, but quiet while we were there, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended, with provisos noted.

An amazing location with beautiful interior and delicious food, but with a horrible serviceWhen we were at Chao Samran, we were craving some western food, and all the other places (roughly 2 other restaurants) were way too expensive, so we ended up at Eco Moments. I have to say that the restaurant's interior is something! Very modern and very nice design, restaurant had some cool hammocks, where you can lay down having the sea right below you! The food was also very good, beef burger had a very appealing price and tasted really good as well! Everything is great about this place BUT service is just horrible!!! It is impossible to catch the servants as they are never around, so every time we wanted to ask for something extra, we literally had to go around the whole restaurant, looking for our waitress, who would be sitting somewhere in the corner table playing on her phone. When we have been served our food, no napkins, no cutlery, nothing has been brought to us, except for the plates with food. None of the tables had napkins, and the waitress was also nowhere to be found, so we had to go to the bar ourselves and take them by ourselves. So much for the service! And the last thing that just ruined the whole experience is the fact that we got ripped off at the end. Initially, we ordered one beer, a burger and a sandwich. After finishing it all, we have searched for the staff to order another burger take away, since we liked it so much. 5 minutes later, the waitress comes with another beer, quickly opens it before even arriving at our table, and flees right after, so we don't even have time to tell her that we didn't order it. Me and my boyfriend looked at each other in confusion, since we didn't even open the drink menu or asked them for a second beer, therefore we have assumed it was on the house or something. When the bill comes, I was frankly very pissed off, because they did include the second beer, which we didn't even want in the first place. When asking the waitress again, she was just smiling and nodding as if she can't understand anything. Being the only two foreigners around (literally haven't seen a single farang in Chao Samran, except for us), we have assumed that they decided to make an extra 300 baht on us, following the Thai stereotype that all farangs are rich. This situation left me feeling very upset and aggravated, especially due to being a student and travelling on a budget. Looking back at it now, I should have called a manager and figured the situation, but I wasn't thinking through at the moment, unfortunately. That is why I am sharing it here to shred some light on this and beware other tourists. That is really a shame, such an amazing environment with delicious food, yet the horrible service just ruined the whole mood!!!

Poor Poor PoorDon't be fooled by photos on web site. The reception staff are useless. The whole place needs a lick of paint , not to mention a lot of maintenance.Staff sit everywhere not doing anything. Nothing is put away out of sight of guests ( ie pots pans , cleaning stuff ) The room had to be cleaned properly before we went in because was dirty. As soon as you go in the place you notice that something is quite not right.. We couldn't leave hotel before rude staff checked room to see if we had not stole something. Bar is expensive Hotel is not worth the price of stay at all !. I could go on ........Poor poor poor.!!!!!!
