  Everything we wanted and more!!

  We stayed in the lodge for a long weekend and received a 30% discount for staying 3 nights! We had a wonderful stay. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean upon arrival. We loved having a fireplace in the room (even if it was gas, but at least you don't have to keep tending to the fire)!! We totally loved having a microwave and fridge in the room. We did a lot of hiking in the area and we were able to eat a quick breakfast before hitting the trails and had the ability to make a few wraps to put in our pack for lunch. Even though it was winter, we bundled up and took advantage of the balcony over looking the creek and bluff. We even got to see 6 wild horses right out our door! There are 2 nice rocking chairs and small table for your drinks on it. And the bathroom!! WOW! a tub/shower combo PLUS a huge walk in shower! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect stay!

  Cousins trip

  Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful lodge. Beautiful views. And of course wild horses! Staff is super helpful and friendlyso much to see and do in the area. Great hiking trails and scenic Reason to visit.

  Incredible!!

  This place is amazing! The lodge is incredible, the dining area and food blew me away, the area itself is beautiful and Jack (our waitress) was such a treat. We were there during the snow which made it extra special .

  Scenic and lots to do

  We stayed in a two bedroom cabin, and ate at the lodge multiple times. This scenic beauty is amazing. Sitting on the deck outside the dining room you view the river and the Bluffs. We found the food on the menu to be good, it was very service oriented. This is all new, since 2016. They didnt skimp on building codes and furnishings. The cabin was comfy and there are some designated for pets. There is some Internet, in the lodge and in the cabins. We got no cell service any place on property. But there are phones in the cabins that can be used for no charge. That came in handy, because we actually did have a couple calls we needed to make. We are here off-season, but I can see that in season would be wonderful for swimming, fishing, canoeing. We enjoyed walking along the river, and hiking the trails. We found the trails we were on to be very well marked. We toured the campground and that looks good too. There are some primitive camping spots in the woods, the rest of the camping spaces theres no trees, but they are very well laid out. And it is walking distance to the lodge and trails. We highly highly recommend this place. Look up how this park originated. Its a rather interesting story of how the state got the land.

  Great getaway

  Love our cabin. We stayed in the three-bedroom and two-bath cabin which allowed two couples to share without being on top of each other. The cabin is well-appointed. The service in the cafe was outstanding. We will make this our go-to place when a quick getaway is needed.
