  Super convenient!

  Stayed this hotel for the 2nd time. Worth the money and its located within the shopping mall. U can just start shopping the moment u reached. Downside is that becos they dont have proper lobby, u have to alight along the roadside. Quite troublesome if it's raining.

  convenient

  Located at level 6 of Wannian building. Below have shops but no time to shop. Bed was ok, comes with a double and single bed in room. counter staff friendly and advice us location convenient.7 mins to laundry shop.overall satisfied.

  Worst Hotel Ever! Avoid it even if you have limited budget!

  I am usually not fussy about cheap hotel because I understand fully that when its cheap, its usually not good. I was so disappointed with the condition of this hotel to the extend that I took the trouble to pen down my experience. This is my 1st attempt to write a review on TA, please bear with me if I am long winded but you will find my posting useful. The reason why this hotel caught our attention was because it was situated right in Ximengdi (which is a popular shopping area in Taipei), the photos posted online look decent and the price was reasonable. It turn out to be a total disaster.. a nightmare.. perhaps a revenge which was cleverly plotter by an ex girlfriend who wanted to screw your family vacation.. I am not joking.. We booked a total of 4 rooms for a group of 15. None of the rooms made it to the minimum expectation. The hotel is situated on the 6th floor of an old shopping mall, there are 3 elevators which can bring you up to the hotel lobby. Once you reached the 6th floor, you will be greeted by an extremely small check-in area which can barely fit a group of 10 pax with their luggages. Next.. An accident happened when I entered the room.. I tripped and fell because there was a step at the entrance of the room (the step on the photo which I posted was a small one, cos I changed my room). My 7 year old boy commented that the toilet was disgusting when he first step his foot into the toilet. The groove on the corners of the toilet were covered with moulds and stain.. ITS DISGUSTING!! The wallpapers are covered with stains and the carpet makes you feel that you will contact herpes by stepping on it! The plastic on the tip of the hair dryer is melted and they dont serve bottled water. The only stuff that met my expectation were the bath and hand towels. I provided my feedback to the front desk and was offered the option to change the room the next day but the condition of the room and my experience was so bad that I decided to book another hotel nearby (Hotel Papa Whale) and spend the 1st night at another hotel. We recheck-in the hotel the next day with the hope of getting a better room but the feeling I got was a revenge by another ex girlfriend (who cleverly plotted together with the 1st ex girlfriend) who both wanted to screw my family vacation the 2nd time! This time round, although we got a cleaner toilet but the exhaust fan in the toilet was faulty (its working but the motor of the fan was so noisy!), the louver of the aircon was faulty and you have to manually tilt it to change the wind direction. The carpet feels the same as the 1st room. 2nd accident happened, I tripped and fell the 2nd time after I came out of the toilet (Please see the photo of the toilet entrance, THERE IS A STEP!) I (again) went to the front desk to voice my unpleasantness and was given the option to change to another room but the room was a smoking room which I have declined politely (I have kids with me). The counter staff was actually very kind and helpful. Pro - Good location - Helpful Staff Con - Extremely awful room condition which is good enough to make it to the Fear Factor stun/dare game show. Verdict: There are plenty of better hotels nearby, you should try this hotel if you plan to screw your own holiday.

  Room 603 is great !

  You really have to read all the reviews to find this place. So to us it was very easy to find and the taxi driver also told us where to go. Our room is on the 6th floor right next to the Reception area. The elevator is just there and you can get hot drink just by the Reception. To us, everything is close by. The room is not that big, but big enough for us to put 4 luggages on the floor. Slippers and all toiletries are provided and there is a small fridge and kettle. The only prob is the shower head that cannot be adjusted, so when you shower, the water only goes to 1 direction and the bathroom will be wet. Also, the towels they provide have holes and stain on them. Shouldn't give these to customers. Although they provide 1 floor mat, eventually it will be soaking wet. So we had to use the hand towel to wipe the water. (See photo) Beds are fine and comfy to us. We don't have issue with it. The location is great and it is inside a shopping mall. So for those who like shopping, this is great ! But unfortunately, not many places for breakfast.

  Not suitable for family with baby!!!

  Rooms were very gloomy and small. Some of the rooms comes with steps too. So people with stroller will face problem in having to carry the stroller up and down in the room. Upon checked in, was given room with 2 combined single bed. As they do not provide baby cot, our baby will have to sleep in between us, but because of the combined bed, theres a joint line in between which we foresee it will not be good for our baby to sleep on it. Then they suggest to do room change for us. The second room comes with very strong cigarette smell, the staff then suggest to ionize the room for 30 minutes before we move in. The smell was better after 30 minutes and we moved in. Come the second day when we return to the room after day out, we smelled a very strong cigarette smell again. The staff came and smell and suggest another room change. As they do not have any double room available, they do a upgrade for one night in a family room and mentioned we will have to do another room change the next day. Imagine having to do room change again with baby it is an ultimate hassle. In the end I told them we will pay extra for the rest of the 5 nights in the family room to avoid another room change. Next, the hotel got no freezer at all, so those exclusive pumping mummy do take note, you will not be able to freeze your breastmilk let alone freeze any ice pack or gel pack to bring it out during the day. You can only buy ice from the nearest bubble tea shop everyday to chill your milk when youre out. The only consolation is, they do provide bathtub with a small stool. Oh yah, their housekeeping ladies are very friendly too. If only the receptionist behaved like them too.
