  Great relaxation destination

  Large room (we had a suite) with balcony overlooking the lake. Lovely spa and pool area, though would have liked the outdoor pools to be warmer! Ideal location both for visiting Salzburg and nearby villages and sites (e.g., Hallstatt and the Five Fingers). Rental car seems close to essential. Also great having full board (all meals included). Breakfast and dinner were both excellent; dinner is multi-course and they take your order at breakfast; very classy. Ambience was much more local/European than other places weve stayed. On one hand, it made it more charming and less noisy/touristy, but not speaking German can be a factor here. Example: Staff seemingly understood our request regarding laundry, but when we came back late at night, the laundry wasnt done... not having clean clothes for the next day was quite frustrating! Also we were a bit vexed to find out we couldnt park in the garage, which would have been more convenient. Maybe a European thing, but shouldnt they let the guests park there??

  Cosy and charming getaway with extras

  Lovely room with lake view. Surrounded by lovely nature yet close to Salzburg. Great breakfast. Large and well maintained Spa area. Large range of treatments, while therapists seem to be a bit hit and miss. The hotel offers a large variety of activities including Yoga, city and mountain tours, frequently guided by Robert, who is a very gentle, knowledgeable and humble character. Moving with him gives you easy access to nearby venues, no need for maps or timetables and valuable information. Hotel staff is overall very friendly. Requests are swiftly addressed.

  Great golf break

  Had a wonderful stay here in excellent weather in July. Our room had a perfect view of the lake. All the staff were very good but it did help being able to speak a little German. The facilities in the hotel were first class, especially the swimming pools ,spa areas & lakeside sunbathing area. The hotel golf course was very quiet & had a very good restaurant-nine holes were quite challenging & in very good condition. Breakfasts & dinner were included & also a small lunch-all meals were excellent. We have visited many hotels in Austria & have enjoyed them all-being family run , the standard has always been incredibly high. Hotel Ebner has been my favourite & we will definitely return.

  Beautiful Location

  Fantastic resort! We had a beautiful suite overlooking the lake. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, great selections, of gourmet quality and served to perfection by friendly wait staff. Pools and lake were also almost perfect (although the underwater music pool went silent after a couple of days). The only downside was finding one's way around the hotel a real maze! I finally mastered it after a few days, but a map would have helped.

  Great Stay on the Lake

  We stayed at Ebner's Wadhof in August 2020. We are a family of four. Not knowing the area, and not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Although a big place, it has retained a family feel. Although we did not hear much English spoken by the guests, most of the staff spoke very good English with us. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The food was very good...and it was especially pleasant to eat on the patio in beautiful weather as the sun set over the lake. The kids pool was perfect...and we enjoyed swimming in the lake, paddle boarding, etc. Altogether, it was a great stay...my kids have been asking to go back.
