  We just back from a camping trip been a lovely weekend love this site for £5 a night you cant go wrong looking forward to our next trip there and bonus there no rush to get off the site love the compost toilet

  If you are concerned about covid 19 this place will put your fears at rest. Every precaution has been taken to protect visitors. It's basic site but has everything i need. Welcoming owners and a pub nearby.

  Perfect quiet then noise

  Go during the week, we stayed Thursday and Friday night. Thursday was perfect lovely night with fire and conversation. Friday night a tad noisy, caving group joined the site and was a little intrusive with the noise but the people who looked after the site made sure was silent just after 11pm. Great local pub and fab walks.

  Lovely Campsite

  Very friendly welcome. Pitch where you like, fire pits welcome at £10 deposit and get that back on return. Only 5 miles from Cheddar Gorge and Wells cathedral. They served breakfast as well if needed. Queen Vic pub less than 5 mins walk which have some very nice food. Fantastic campsite, I will definitely be returning! 5*

  Stayed at both the campsite and the B+B

  My partner and I stayed at the campsite in July and enjoyed it so much we revisited again in September for 5 days of camping and the 6th night we stayed at the B+B part of the business. THE CAMPSITE- set a stones throw from the Mendip Hills and surrounded by beautiful scenery, this simple but welcoming campsite offers ample space and in our case we had the 3rd field all to ourselves for most of our stay. The facilities are basic, consisting of water, a portaloo, and amazing scenery where small camp fires are allowed. Fire wood is available to buy on site for £5 and a unique up-cycled fire pit can be hired for a £10 refundable deposit. Staff are super friendly and happy to help to make your stay as pleasant as possible. THE B+B- we opted to stay in a self contained room attached to the farm house itself. The room was spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could want e.g tea/coffee making facilities, very warm and comfortable bed, tv, wifi, dressing table, storage, seating area and cosy but more than adequate bathroom (includes hair dryer) The breakfast (which is served in the main farm house conservatory) consisted of cereal, fruit/nuts, yogurt, toast/jam and a cooked full English breakfast using quality ingredients (including veggie option) all hosted by the amazingly kind, helpful, attentive and friendly owner who appeared to have thought of everything you could possibly need. Overall, we found both the B+B and the campsite to be awesome and would recommend it to friends and family. The location is perfect for visiting Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury and lots more. The only negative (for some people maybe, not us!) is the lack of shower facilities on the campsite but that's a matter of personal choice. Will definitely visit both again soon.
