    Precioso lugar

An Indulgent Experience Despite Covid Restrictions

This was my first visit post lockdown and I was impressed that everything still felt very relaxing and indulgent, despite the Covid restrictions in the spa (eg. max 2 in the jacuzzi and sauna etc.). Everything was very well organised, without impacting on the ambience. The staff in the spa and brasserie couldnt have been more welcoming or friendly. The food in the manor was exemplary! So incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. And the building itself is always stunning. Cant wait to visit again soon.

Great hotel, food and fab staff

Came here for my mums 60th birthday spa weekend treat. On arrival everything was easy to locate and get to, the receptions nice and welcoming with a lovely big working fireplace. We had mentioned it was a 60th birthday treat and had spent 1300 on this so did ask if there was any chance of a cheeky upgrade but unfortunately not, they said at dinner a dessert would be given to the birthday girl. We had asked for one of the rooms to be twin beds as there were two of us and were told housekeeping would come and separate the beds for us, they did not ever turn up but it was easy enough to do ourselves. Rooms - we stayed in the Mews accommodation which were lovely but there are defo tweaks that need to be made to meet the 5 stars advertised. There were cob webs in lower and upper corners of the room and just a general little bit of a deeper clean perhaps. Bathroom was lovely decorated perhaps a little spruce up needed in some parts like the shower which showed signs of wear. The blinds and windows were also in need of a good clean. Bars and restaurants- The food was lovely although there is only a small menu what was on there was delicious and really well presented. We had Chris the room host both nights as our server and he was absolutely lovely. So friendly and chatty and really made us feel welcome and relaxed. The menu didn't change over the few days we were there so could imagine could get a little bored but again the food was delicious. Breakfast was great too we had a blonde lady and Andre serve us again both very attentive, helpful and lovely. One gripe is that a cooked breakfast is not included in the classic rooms in the Mews (a bit stingy when we spent so much to stay here?) Lucky for us we were told that due to some circumstance which I cant remember we were able to upgrade for free on this occasion. Lunch was in the spa restaurant which again was nice not as nice as dinner and I would highly recommend avoiding the chicken pitta which was so dry I actually saw someone send back, but the rest lovely. Spa - we had 2 treatments each, full body massages and heavenly cocoon body wraps. I think I had Laura (?) a senior therapist and she was amazing, took plenty of time to explain what would happen and be used on me and what to do. My sister had a different therapist and was a bit annoyed after that she hadn't received the same (I got a list of what products were used etc and extra bits in my treatment it seems) There are two relaxation rooms which we didnt realise until later in the day 1 which is lighter and a bit more for groups I guess were might want a little chat or to read and one a deep relaxation room for resting and snoozing. The pool area you had to book which was fine (do to Corona) but again its in desperate need of a spruce up the beds need wiping through the day and weren't and were dirty. There were also chairs dotted about which quite clearly had mould on them - defo not something I'd expect from a five star hotel and spa. Overall I would stay here again although for a lower price. A few little tweaks would make a huge difference. Would like to say thank you to Chris, Andre and the young blonde server whose name we didn't manage to grab, sorry. They were truly fabulous and made the weekend that something special for us so thank you for everything!

    Enjoyable weekend away

We really enjoyed our stay at Eastwell Manor. The building itself is beautiful and the room we were assigned was amazing. We were upgraded on arrival which was a really nice surprise. We ate the restaurant on each the two evenings we spent there - nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. Spa was decent as well. Overall we couldn't complain about any of it and were surprised by the mixed reviews on here.
