Cheap hotel for a short stay close to the airport

First, let me set the context: I only paid $56 for the one night I stayed there (breakfast was even included). This hotel is very close to the PEK airport. They have a shuttle that runs on an hourly basis. You need to call them to find where to get on it when you arrive. As an international traveler, you need to arrange the ability to call when you land. Fortunately, my Google Fi service worked great. Of you really to get into the city, you can take the shuttle back to the airport and then get on the subway, which everybody in the know recommends given Beijing's notorious traffic situation. It's next to the office building of the Beijing branch of China Eastern Airline. I think they needed to accommodate their own employees in any case and opened it to outsiders too. This hotel looks old everywhere you turn. It desperately needs a renovation (see pictures). It's classified as a 3-star. For dinner, I checked a highly rated restaurant close by. But it's too shabby by my standard. So I called back to the hotel to eat. It's a Hunan restaurant unlike but what the hotel service guide in the room says. The beef noodle soup was surprisingly good, even though it took them 35 minutes to cook when I was the only one sitting in the restaurant. It was RMB 59, very reasonable for a hotel restaurant. But the tea cost RMB 80! The included breakfast was pretty good. In summary, it's convenient and cheap for a layover. Will I come back? I may think about it.

    Good for a stop over

Pleasant enough hotel, though lobby very quite so no atmosphere on arrival, FamilyMart shop in lobby for all the bits and pieces that you need, other shops and restaurant around the corner. Room very large, only real issues were not all the power sockets worked and the drainage was slow. Kettle and tea bags in room bathroom clean, water hot. Staff did not speak English but did their best to help. Would use again, but a fair way from nearest subway station at exhibition centre.

    Convenient for passengers in transit.

    1. Location and service is good for air travellers who have overnight transit at Beijing Capital Airport. 2. Ground floor's convenient store has all the snakes and quick foods and drinks for you. 3. Room is old and smelly but balance with reasonable price. It is only for one short stay so no worries. 4. Buffet breakfast has not much selections so please do not expect much.

it was a great stay: clean, comfortable

The only thing that I would recommend would be for there to be WiFi. The rooms have free Internet, but you have to plug in the ethernet cord, which is not good for smartphone/tablet users. Apart from that, it was a great stay: clean, comfortable.

    Room is old and dirty

The room was really old and dirty. Room was noisy and hot. I bought breakfast but when I went down to restaurant at 9am (front desk told me breakfast closes at 10am) they told me breakfast is already closed!
