    Amazing staff should be at least 4*

    We are staying here at present and thoroughly enjoying our stay only been here 4 days but cant find any faults at present. My husband uses a mobility scooter and although weve had some issues the staff have been more than helpful. Two issues in the room on arrival were dealt with promptly and efficiently. In the restaurant the food is behind screens and you choose what you would like and it has all been very nice up to now my only criticism would be I have to say to the member of staff serving stop as if I didnt the plate would be overflowing!! All the staff receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaners and bar staff so very friendly and helpful they are a great asset to the hotel. Ramps are fine to use the scooter to restaurant and pool just sad we cant use the rooftop bar which is the only bar open in the evenings as this is only accessible by steps but we knew this before we arrived. We asked for a room overlooking rooftop bar which we have been given and has the most amazing views thinking we could watch any entertainment which pre Covid would have been fine but sadly no entertainment at present. If anyone has mobility issues and not using a mobility scooter there are quite a few steps around the complex but there is a lift to all the rooms. We would definitely return as despite limitations the staff as said previously are amazing and the hotel is amazing value as a base if you want to eat out at times there are a few restaurants nearby and only about a 15/20 minute walk into centre of Pefkos

    Lovely place but disappointed with smelly room

    We were told 2 days before by our @loveholidays tour operator that our planned hotel (Island Blue) was closed so we were put here. The room was fine, it was spacious and clean but when we went outside there was 3 huge septic tanks literally within a couple of metres of the balcony. (room 2002) and a huge staircase. I went straight to reception to ask for another room but was told the hotel was full and we hadn't paid for a sea view room so we were stuck. As expected we were unable to use the balcony as waves of putrid smells just kept wafting over and the air conditioning made it worse. The most annoying thing was we didn't see anyone else in the rooms next to us (2001 and 2003) so I don't think the hotel was full or maybe they dare not open their balcony either. Apart from that the hotel was clean and the food was adequate

    Eagles nest pefkos

    First time to pefkos. Really lovely place. Lots of lovely restaurants with roof top dining. Traditional Greek dishes. Went to lindos forage evening. (12 euros in a taxi) In my opinion this is must see. White washed cobbled streets/lanes. Very scenic. We paid for a deluxe sea view room but was allocated a mountain view room. Reception said they had no confirmation of this. Fortunately I had my confirmation and showed them the proof. (Never book with teletext holidays) We had two days in a mountain view room and then they changed us to the room we paid for. Room 4002 which was much bigger and better. Beautiful sea views. Good sized glass balcony. One double bed and a single bed plus a pull out sofa. Sun was on out balcony ALL DAY which was perfect for us. TV did not work. A/C was great. Lovely powerful spacious shower. Tea/coffee facilities (you need to bring your own tea bags/milk etc and none provided) Comfortable bed (we asked for extra pillows) The weather for early October was amazing (between 28-32) Private taxi transfers quite pricey (75 euros) 55 minutes journey. There are so many nice things about pefkos and I will definitely be returning in the future.

    Friendly staff & good value

    Stayed here in October obviously taking the decision to attend during the added restrictions. We booked the hotel indirectly at a really good deal. We remember this hotel when it was the Filimon but had never stayed there. What makes the Eagles Nest is the friendly & assertive staff which is the main reason why I have given it a very good rating otherwise it would have been average. The hotel facilities were okay. I would say that the building/rooms are a little tied now & are need of a refurb. Our room was spacious & very quiet. The beds were comfy & the balcony large enough for two people. The initial cleanliness of the room could have been better but we did arrive early so they probably rushed to get the room cleaned for us. We stayed B&B which was pretty basic but good & again restricted as you were served by the staff. We only used the bar & pool area the once, which was very quiet. Spending most of the day at the local beaches. For us the distance to the main part of the resort wasn't an issue & loved the 10/15 minute walk. Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially with what we had paid which was extremely good value which included breakfast. I would have expected more if we had paid the full price & would have maybe felt a bit different with my expectations.

    Brillant relaxing quiet adult holiday

    The Eagles Nest hotel has been without a doubt the best hotel we have stayed at in the Greek islands. Officially this hotel is rated a 3* but after our stay, it compares with a 4*. The rooms are lovely, large, modern & clean. The food was very good and well cooked, and there was always a variety of meals (meat, fish, vegetarian & traditional greek cuisine). If you're a cat lover like me then there are a large family of healthy clean cats that make themselves at home around the hotel, the hotel do feed and take care of them but they do enjoy your food treats too. The pool area is very relaxing and cleaned every morning, and there are plenty of sunbeds, a big pool bar, pool showers and toilet. This hotel also has the BEST all inclusive package we'd ever seen; food is every few hours and ALL the drinks are included (spirits, cocktails, beer, wines, soft drinks etc), and there are 2 bars (rooftop & pool bar). We couldn't express how much we've enjoyed our stay. The staff are also so amazing! friendly and fun, and we can't thank them enough. Even when Teletext messed up most of our holiday the hotel were amazing at fixing what they could. The only negatives from our holiday were things out of the hotel's control; ants (lots of them), hornets (lots of them), Teletext (don't use them) & the location of the hotel is literally on the side of a mountain so the walk into town is about 15 mins downhill (probably not the best for any physical disability), the hotel however is wheelchair friendly. That being said there are plenty of hire cars, taxis & transfers available to book at reception. 10/10 we will definitely stay here again when come back to Rhodes. A member of the Tripadvisor executive team stayed at the hotel at the same time, we hope his experience was of similar opinion and helps get this hotel a higher rating.
