Best hotel experience I've had in GuamMy girlfriend and I stayed at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort for four days in the Luxury Deluxe room and it was absolutely perfect! +Customer service was exceptional in all areas. +The room was very clean and modern with a killer expansive ocean view. (Stayed at a neighboring hotel right before I checked in to Dusit. It had the exact same view, but because Dusit is a lot closer to the beach, the view was so much better!) +FOOD was perfect. Our stay included daily breakfast at the Tasi Grill and we liked it so much we even ate there for lunch. It's no wonder they are #1 rated on Tripadvisor. I really would recommend these dishes: (Breakfast - Steak & Eggs, Smoked Salmon Benedict, Chorizo Omelet, Loco Moco) (Lunch - Ahi Poke, Kalbi Burger). +Fitness center has everything you would need to workout. It's a two-story gym on the 22-23rd floor. Level one has the free weights and machines where level two has cardio machines. It also has a nice view of the street of Tumon +Spa is a must-do. This was our second time at the Dervana Spa in the ground floor. This time, we tried the Swedish massage with the Aroma bath. My girlfriend and I really don't like those rough hardcore massages that leave you feeling bruised. The Swedish massage was perfect for us and so relaxing. I stayed in almost all the hotels in Guam and in my opinion, I had the best experience at Dusit Thani for the above reasons. Highly recommend it and will definitely stay there again!

Treat people better! So this weekend, my family and I booked a room at the Dusit for two nights. We got to our room and the moment we entered, I already saw that the room wasnt clean considering that its a five star hotel! We have stayed at the Dusit Guam multiple times before and never had an issue but it was different this time. After seeing a dirty room, we didnt let it bother us too much because the kids were fine and they were just happy to be there. We went on with our day and enjoyed the hotel with the family. The next morning, I went to use the restroom and while sitting on the toilet, I looked down and I saw what looked like vomit or poop dripping down the toilet. This was definitely not our doing and should have inspected the room thoroughly before we became too comfortable. It was more disgusting because the stain seemed like it has been sitting for awhile. Immediately, I called the front desk and they changed our room right away. We got into the new room and it was definitely cleaner than the first room we were in. I felt much better but told myself that I should have requested to move since day one. The clean room reminded me of what we could have had and became content with the move. Towards the end of our stay and taking taking a shower, a bunch of little bandages start appearing from under the shower floor. I freaked out and felt disgusted. I wasnt expecting this many issues during COVID and how cleanliness should be a priority. At that point, I was ready to get out of this hotel and go home. After breakfast, we got the kids and ourselves ready to enjoy the pool before checkout. The day was early and defeated the crowd with our early morning dip, enjoying my family at the poolside with minimal crowd. It was a great way to close out our staycation enjoying my family I said to myself but I spoke too soon. While swimming, my husband happened to step on something sharp. He handed me my daughter and goes down to see what poked him. He comes back up and it discovers a huge piece of broken glass. We gave the glass to the Tasi (Restaurant) employees, got out of the pool to go pack our things, and head home. At that point, I am frustrated and disappointed with everything that has happened from the beginning to almost the closing of our stay. I call the front desk again and explained to them our situation asking to speak to a manager. The front desk told me that it was better to speak to the manager in person. I went down and spoke to the manager Raquel Cortez, and she was very accommodating after hearing what happened with our stay and my husband stepping on glass in the pool. She offered us to extend our stay and it seemed like we were on the same page and in agreement with the accommodations. She assisted with my request to stay in the villaI because there was a plunge pool and we would feel safer knowing that theres no glass for our three kids to accidentally step on. She looked on her computer, did some typing and tells me yes, theres a room available for tonight. She then tells me she will also extend our checkout to 3pm instead of 1pm and that someone will be up at our room to give us the new keys and to help us with our bags but wed have to wait for them to get the room ready for us. I was excited and pleased that they were going to compensate for our bad experience. The kids were going to be happy that we will get to stay an extra night and in a nicer room. We get to the new room, everyones happy and were so grateful for Raquel and all her help. She comes to the new room, makes a report and tells us, if we need anything just let her know. Fast forward and its around 5pm. The kids are hungry so we go and grab some food (in the hotel). On our way back to the room, our key isnt working so my husband goes to the front desk AGAIN and asks for help. The lady says she cant find our reservation, so he explains the situation and she reactivates a key. We get to the room, ready to feed the kids and settle down then we get a ring at the door. I go to check and its a new manager Maria Lewis. She tells us that there was a miscommunication and that we had to get out of the new room since 3 but shell give us till 6 to get out. That was the last straw for me and my patience. I became upset and told my husband what had just happened. He called the front desk, Raquel gets on the phone and asked to speak to me. I put the phone on speaker for my husband to hear and she told me that I misunderstood her and she only gave me the villa till 3pm and she will give me until 6pm to get out. Im more frustrated and confused so my husband goes to the front desk to get more information on whats going on. He speaks to a new person Chris Cortezano, who tries to intimidate my husband and after a while, he then says we can stay in the room for the rest of the night and that if we wanted to eat at the hotel restaurants, all we had to do was text him and hell comp it. We were so frustrated with the series of events and all that it took for them to finally want to compensate us. I just didnt feel good being at the hotel anymore. We left anyway because I felt so uncomfortable. I was told by Raquel that I was a liar, they treated us as if we were ignorant, and with no respect. I felt like they degraded us because they judged our appearance, thinking we could not afford our stay. Im writing because I want everyone to be aware of how they treat LOCAL PAYING CUSTOMERS at Dusit Thani.

Not a 5 star hotelYou would think at a five-star hotel that you wouldnt have to run the water for 10 minutes in all the faucets just to get yourself get some warm water. what a waste of water you should be ashamed of yourself. No coffee maker in the room just a boiling pot. I wouldnt stay here again.
