  Ok good can try but wont go again

  Overall quite good, second floor is a bit noisy from the lobbys music. Can work on service, reception a bit cold, can be more enthusiastic. Amenities are good. Slippers are good. lots of water and like the pineapple cakes. Toilet and bathroom no window. Toothbrush is good. Location also good.

  The room is modern n functional. Very nicely designed. The frontdesk staff are not attentive and cold, even though they are nice at look at! The bar was closed at 10:30pm for stockcheck and the personnel referred me to Mandarin Hotels bar instead,saying its much better than S Hotel! WoW!

  Quarantine hotel 15 days Sept 2020

  I stayed in this room for my quarantine time before starting work. Was dropped off in the basement by the epidemic prevention car. Temperature taken and sprayed in disinfectant along with all my luggage. Lift was waiting and to the 5th floor i went. I arrived at 20:00 and had just missed the chance of room service. Foodpanda uber Eats to the rescue....... Room had to single beds, fridge was stocked with beer, coke, sprite and water, small packet of crisps(Chips) nuts and some local cake. Nespresso coffee machine in the room was great. (All stocked up on request at 10:00 when they get your food order and temp) There's a lot of mirrors in this hotel room, especially the bathroom, all walls are mirrors including the doors. There was 2 options for the food that would be delivered Local or European. along with your temperature at 10:00 you also put in your request for the following day. I started with the local food but was a little disappointed, I've been to Asia a lot but the food was not to my liking. Tried the European and this was also not great. Very often it arrived cold, i understand they cook it all and then deliver it all to everyone in quarantine. Phoned a few times to try and get it heated up. Never happened, then a note was put with the food....."If your food is cold please call reception and we will make it hot again" Great i thought, First day i called down to get it reheated.....They didnt understand and i ended up with another box of food, although piping, steaming hot. FoodPanda and Uber eats really did save the day here. The reception did goto 7/11 for me and only charged 10% on top. Still worked out cheaper like this when buying beer than ordering the hotel beer. The window opens up all the way when taken off the latch, so managed to get the early morning sun, and if you smoked i think this wouldn't be a problem. 2 weeks in a hotel in complete isolation is hard, and little things like good food goes a long way.

  New Year in Taipei

  The location is ok since its in between 2 MRT stations, and both are not too close to the hotel. You will need to walk a bit. The good thing is that the roads aint too bumpy but a bit roller coaster, up and down. Lobby is modernized and reception is not too bad, on the other hand, friendly. Check in did not take long. We were assigned to 9th floor; its kinda bit of confusing the first time when you first step in coz everything are mainly white and all look the same, which maybe let you feel a bit lost and hard to find the room if it is not right in front of the elevator. The room is very roomy and empty when you walked in. Its all white which makes it look even too empty. You wont feel any coziness in here but instead cold and too spacious. Amenities are scattered which doesnt add in points to the room. And one obstetrizes thing that I find is the air conditioning, it has no heater function! I thought this would only happen to those old and daily rentals, surprisingly to find it in a modernity built hotel. The shower room and lavatory area is filled with little flying bugs! This is really disgusting. Honestly, I dont recommend this hotel unless you really wanna experience it.

  Amazing hotel in Taipei

  I travel to Taiwan once a month to visit my parents. I usually stay at Marriott, W Hotel, Le Meridien, Hilton, Hyatt Grand and/or Sheraton hotel.  Due to entry restrictions for foreigners to Taiwan in response to COVID-19 outbreak, only Taiwanese nationals and certain foreign nationals (foreign nationals with an Alien Resident Certificate or a resident visa, migrant workers, foreign students, and foreign diplomats) are allowed to enter the country. Those who have symptoms shall be transported to a group quarantine facility to await test results; asymptomatic individuals shall undergo a 15-day period of home quarantine at home or at a quarantine hotel.   This is my 2nd time staying at a quarantine hotel in Taiwan. And the first time at S Hotel. I would say "outstanding service from the beginning to the end". I enjoyed the experience in this hotel. The people in the hotel are amazing. They will try to meet all your needs during your stay. It's an excellent hotel, conveniently located. S Hotel is a Michelin-recommended hotel with a strong sense of modern design. Rooms are as soothing as they are stylish, refreshing and comfortable. S HOTEL offers reasonable prices including breakfast, lunch, dinner, tax and service fee. All dishes use the best ingredients from S Restaurant & Bar designed diversified Chinese and Western style. In case you are looking for a quarantine hotel in Taipei, I would highly recommend S Hotel which provides you a comfortable 15-days quarantine experience.
