  Disappointment

  The views were great, the cottages were very old and dated but clean. Our biggest complaint was the package deal which included 2 dinners, 2 breakfast and lunch. The dining was closed even though we checked prior to making the reservation no mention. We were sent to their golf course restaurant where the food was pub food only and the dinner menus included salmon or sirloin steak but those two items were unavailablef!!! If you have any dietary or want any food that is not deep fried for the 4 meals it was challenging. The staff was courteous and tried their best; we complained to the manager who was "unavailable" but never tried to contact us. Overall our memories of Dundee from years ago have been replaced with a fairly run down resort and does not justify the cost.

  This is the place to go!

  What a beautiful little spot on the Bras D'or Lakes. The wildlife and sunsets are gorgeous as well. The girls at the front desk are very nice and welcoming and if you need anything they're there for you. I had the opportunity to stay in one of the rooms in the hotel and the room and bed were great, very comfortable and I had a sound sleep. The food is plentyful as well, you get your moneys worth for sure. Will definitely be back! :)

  Dishonest and Deplorable.

  We checked into a standard room. Quality so poor we upgraded to a deluxe unit. Fridge didn't work so they rolled in a replacement and left it on the dolly in middle of room. Then phone didn't work and they replaced it but it didn't work. Said it was the phone line. Bathroom sink was clogged. Air condition unit so loud we couldn't sleep with it on. Next morning on check out, the rate was discounted to the original standard room rate and MC charge put through and a receipt provided. After returning home, I checked my MC account and they had subsequently added the difference in price between the standard and deluxe rates. Don't stay there unless you want to be ripped off.

  Beautiful Spot, Even better people!

  My spouse and I visited the beautiful Dundee Resort and Golf Course. First arrival, the front desk staff were VERY friendly, greeted us with a smile and helped us in every way. The views of the lake are absolutely gorgeous, we also enjoyed a trip on the kayaks. Very clean place. We did not golf, but did talk to a couple who did and they said they had a blast and the greenery was spot on! highly recommend.

  From fab to drab.....NEVER go back....WARNING

  Sorry folks. I was a big fan of this resort a year ago before new owners took over and all the good staff left. I am from CB and wanted to see this place thrive but not anymore. It's like night and day from last summer....... This weekend past, absolutely none of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there. My daughter and I were looking forward to pool and hot tub....Well, there was green algae in pool, the hot tub was lined with something....and both were under 70F. Awful, nothing was said from staff. Lots of folks were disappointed for a Resort??? Breakfast experience, terrible....not just from me but from our friends and wedding guests. Waited 51mins for breakfast with only 7 tables...??? 3 waitresses. Our waitress served us coffee and then forgot about us....ignored us until after 30mins asked another one to see if she could take our order....After, manager was supposed to come find us to make it right....NO SHOW.... Wifi in cottages non-existent for our friends and no cell phone reception....Can't make a call?? Very little hot water! Wife had to take a luke warm bath and I had no hot water the day we left in the morning. I was so livid. Windows are all disgusting in the resort, god knows last time they were cleaned. Golf course is nice though. Oh yes, our friends booked a single room cottage golf package, thought that they would have a larger space than our room in hotel....NOOOO!!! They had a double bed??? not even queen, 20" table, not even large enough to play games on. We had 2 king beds in our room in the hotel. Needless to say, they came to our room to drink! They will never go back either....staff were not very nice to them at all. Reservations for dinner/breakfast a requirement but they fail to mention that upon arrival...We met for 9am to get a seat....NO GO....had to make reservations....So we decided to drive 1/2hr away to Mcdonalds instead of waiting for 1.5hrs. Wedding coordinator terrible. How about paying for someone to coordinate your wedding at a hotel and not show up to the reception at all and wouldn't even get staff to replace propane tanks in heaters for the guests.....IMAGINE? TV: Since there was nothing else to do, no pool, weather was not great and we couldn't go on the overgrown trail....(Not maintained, signs all rotten), 4 of the main channels in the room were distorted and we couldn't watch them (FOX, ABC, CTV)...Netflix wouldn't work on the TV or IPAD??? If you are a golfer, you are in luck because its a really nice course but don't go for a relaxing weekend.....you'll just be wasting $$. I know COVID rules are in play here but we all understand that and want to go to a place that is inviting and cheerful. This was the complete opposite. MY RANT IS OVER.....
