    Buen lugar

    Ubicación en un tranquilo barrio de las afueras de Auckland, cercano al parque Cornwell y One Tree Hill así como Dress Smart. Parking disponible. Habitación con baño amplio. TV led por cable. Lugar tranquilo. Suficiente para una breve estadía en Auckland.

    A Tiny but a comfortable Place

    We stayed at the Duke Midway for one night on our return from New Zealand. It is near the Airport in a suburb but surrounded by shopping malls, banks and parks. The room was super tiny but well appointed. The front office staff was very polite and helpful. Had a comfortable stay more because of the caring staff.

    Dukes, the guitar is not all it is made out to be

    this hotel next to the airport seems to be a home for homeless or indigent on welfare. The rooms seem to be occupied by people who are on the down and out. It is not a vacation place nor even a place to spend the night and go for a swim in the guitar shaped pool (it is quite dirty)

    Clean and tidy but a little old and dated

    This motel is conveniently located for access to the city and to the airport. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are adequate and appeared clean and tidy but room did have a small as if it had been a smoking room previously and/or had some water leaks somewhere. No aircon which is OK in winter - there is a heater but a desk fan in a humid Auckland night does not make a lot of difference. Comfortable bed. Small and odd shower with very low water pressure - not great for rinsing conditioner out of hair. Handy to shops and restaurants at Royal Oak. Thai Archer has amazing food

    Would NEVER stay here again.

    Not what we thought we had booked at. When we checked in, we were told we had been "upgraded". OMG! Wish we had gone back and said don't bother. The "room" was a suite of very odd rooms. The shower (broken 70's tiles on bottom, shower curtain, pump for water) looked like it had previously been a cupboard, as did the vanity. And the toilet - the door only just made it past the small wall hung basin to close. The bed - well the bed base was literally on the floor. Mattress old, soft and terrible. Only my husband had a bedside table. I was however grateful for the fluffy white towels and clean sheets........thank god they have the nous to outsource to a professional laundry service like most other accommodation suppliers . I slept with one eye open the whole time, as did not feel particularly safe.Would have been nice to know before we booked that their main clientele are perhaps MSD clients. The pool is dirty and surrounded by mossy paving and old discarded outdoor furniture.
