  Good, but missing the little things

  Nicely appointed rooms. just a bit squashy. Not sure why there were no electrical outlets in the room or the bathroom - made charging phones and the like a bit more challenging. Luckily I didn't need the hairdryer. No lamps in the room for reading, so everyone had to go to bed at the same time. No table to sit at. Also nowhere to wax skis in the establishment; not allowed to use the waxing facilities in the ski hire room.

  Fabulous!!

  I couldnt fault the Duck Inn. Terrific staff make for a warm atmosphere in a beautiful quiet location. Blessed to have a ski shop on site which makes life easy where you hire or need your own waxed. However our highlight had to be the excellent food right downstairs after a big day! Couldnt speak highly enough of this great little spot at Mt Buller!

  Cozy place, great for families

  Went for a trip with my mother. The staff were extremely helpful with a last minute change in date and picking a suitable room. They were attentive and friendly, and we really enjoyed our trip. The place is cozy and has great views, its not too far from the slopes/town and has like a forest in the backyard. I look forward to coming back here again!

  Quiet, friendly, delicious food

  I stayed for one week. The place is in a quiet area away from the snow making machines, a nice ten minute walk from the Bourke st chairlift. Room was warm and comfortable. The restaurant had probably the best food I ate during my week there and was staffed with very friendly people. The manager Kellie was friendly and helpful. Good place.

  Great Staff, Comfortable and Super Clean

  During this COVID-19 times we decided to spend some time in the snow. We chose the Duck Inn as it has great TripAdvisor rating and offers fantastic prices. We arrived and were met by Joel who immediately made us feel welcome and special. He fitted us out with ski gear the night we arrived so we were ready to go in the morning. We went to breakfast in the morning and were made aware of the COVID precautions that Duck Inn was taking to keep us safe. We are grateful for that. Continental breakfast is right up our alley. Simple and quick. After all we are here to be in the outdoors and not stuffing ourselves with food. After skiing we booked in to the restaurant. Again great COVID precautions throughout. Food was excellent. We had Scallops and Duck for entrees and Salmon and Chicken for main followed by Crepe for desert. On our next visit we will have the Tuna and Lamb for main. People we spoke to said it was great too. Thanks guys for an awesome time. We will be back again this season.
