  very nice hotel

  This is a very nice friendly hotel on the way into town from the Petit St Bernard Pass. No restaurant, but a good breakfast buffet in the morning. A bit of a walk down to the town centre, and part of the footpath, which was only on one side of the road, was under repair and barriered off. Excellent room - pity about the restaurant but there are plenty of nice restaurants in the town centre.

  Perfect stay

  Stayed for a week in January for skiing. Lovely b&b, large rooms, super hot shower, big beds and a balcony. Very quiet area but only a short walk to the gondola, which is where we left our skis for ease in the mornings. Lovely village with many good restaurants which Susanna booked for us. Breakfast was continental, but plenty of it. Susanna could not do enough to help during our stay. Would recommend highly.

  Lovely Hotel with a Lovely kind host

  Lovely clean and warm hotel for our stay in February. Buffet breakfast always stocked, never seemed to run out of anything. The host, Susannah, was very kind, caring and helpful. Susannah suggested a few lovely walks for my Dad, as he doesn't ski, he came back and had thoroughly enjoyed his walks and was very enthusiastic each evening when he recounted his day, all down to Susannah and her suggestions. Thank for making a great holiday for ALL of us.

  TERRIFIC!!!

  Just returned from a wonderful seven night stay at this hotel as a party of 8. The owners Susanna and her husband Cerrade were terrific, nothing was too much and they always went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. This was particularly the case when one of our party unfortunately suffered a skiing knee injury, halfway through the holiday resulting in him being on crutches for the remainder of the stay. There are a good choice of restaurants in La Thuile and Susanna was happy to recommend and book them for us in advance throughout our stay, which was particularly beneficial as a party of 8 staying during half term. There is a wonderful little bar in the hotel run by Susanna which is well priced and the drinks are always accompanied by savoury snacks. Ideal for après ski/pre evening drinks. The hotel was spotlessly clean and maintained. Our rooms all with mountain views,were as requested altogether on the same floor, with modern bathrooms and clean and fresh towels everyday. It is located just a short distance ( 3/4 minute walk) from access to the top of the nursery slopes. Or if you prefer, the free regular ski bus stops almost outside the hotel and then drops/picks up from the main base gondola station. Breakfast is ideal, continental with fresh croissants and hot drinks brought out by Susanna as soon as you sit down. Overall I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and the hosts. We would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay in La Thuile.

  Fantastic Hotel

  Stayed in this fantastic little hotel for 1 week in March 2020. Very spacious and spotlessly clean room with mountain views. From our arrival until our departure our host Susannah went to great lengths to ensure we had everything we needed and kindly booked several restaurants for us. The Hotel Du Glacier is ideally located and comfortably the friendliest I have stayed in during many years of skiing holidays in several countries. Very good breakfast.
