  Very clean

  We were very comfortable given the circumstances. Always nice to have drinks/snacks available in evening and breakfast in morning at Drury. Hotel is not new but rooms have been updated recently. We would stay there again.

  Close to IKEA, evening food/drinks, breakfast

  We stayed here while making a trip to The Container store and IKEA. The guy that was working the front desk as well as the guy that served us in the evening with food and drink were very friendly. They seemed like genuinely happy, caring people. Our room was pretty standard and clean.

  Great overall

  The stay was really nice! The staff was super helpful and respectful. The hotel was the best around in regards of pet price too. It was a slightly more expensive hotel with the lowest pet price. It was honestly worth it. The rooms were nice and clean. We were the room beside the elevator and didn't hear a thing. We were traveling through and decided to stay due to prices and ratings and it was a really pleasant experience. Breakfast was pretty good too.

  Pet friendly, nice place to stay

  We stayed at this Drury Inn during an impromptu trip to Kansas City MO. We didn't want to stay in Kansas City proper and were looking for a place with good reviews in the surrounding area. We were not disappointed. Colton pleasantly assisted us during check in and signed us up for the chain's rewards card. We were surprised when they offered a light meal and drinks with our stay. The meal was good and we had a great visit with assistant general manager Seth. Both employees addressed us by our names which was pretty impressive! The hotel was also pet friendly (a must for us) with ample grassy places to walk the dog. The first floor king size bedroom and bathroom were spacious with good lighting. The only problem was the bed's mattress could have been firmer and I prefer a flatter pillow than the "mile high" ones offered. I also didn't care for the rain shower type shower head but both the sink and the shower had good water pressure. Towels were of good quality. There was a huge TV for viewing, heat/air control, refrigerator and microwave. Lots of plug ins for electronics. We didn't eat the hot breakfast which came with our stay but it did look appetizing. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at a place we had never stayed previously. We will definitely keep this chain in mind when booking other rooms when we resume our normal travels.

  FROZEN PIPES?? Go to the Drury Inn in Shawnee

  Valentines Day 2021, my pipes froze and burst. As no plumber was available til the following day I booked a room at the Drury Inn and Suites in Shawnee. BEST DECISION we made in the middle of the crazy. Not only is it close to many things on Shawnee Mission the little things made a HUGE DIFFERENCE. They serve hot hor doerves for 90 minutes at 5.30 and they filled us up. The rooms are super comfortable and we got a great night sleep. The pool was heated much appreciated in the sub zero weather. The small fitness center has state of the art cardio equipment and a good selection of hand weights. Breakfast was hot, very filling and delicious. But honestly the best part of our stay was the Customer Service. We spent one night and I asked for a late check out while I waited for the plumber. Brad the gentleman who checked us in and was there the entire time of our stay was SO ACCOMODATING!!! Knowing our circumstance he was willing to work with us. Thankfully we didnt need to use our late check out but was so grateful that it was there in case we needed to wait. In situations like ours that gave me comfort that my family and I would be warm and safe. Hoping someone in Drury Management reads this.
