  Lovely pub in picturesque village

  Lovely family supper at this pub in October. Glad to see it busy as often mid week it is sadly quiet. Friendly , attentive staff. Very good food, except for the Mahi Mahi burger which was very dry. Great steak pie, slow cooked brisket and chicken schnitzel, preceded by a Baked Camembert to share. Worth a visit for sure.

  Pre Christmas Family Meal.

  We chose this restaurant as t was half way between the two sets of families. Very good place to eat. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We all had the Sunday roast and it was very good indeed. All very well cooked and very tasty. We had puddings and coffee afterwards and they were equally as good. So thank you for a lovely time and good food.

  Consistently good

  Lunch here today and as always very good food, I had herb roasted chicken dauphinoise potatos in cream and mushroom sauce and my husband had the steak pie and said it was the best he had tasted for a long time.all the food is home made and the staff are all friendly and attentive, everywhere is exceptionally clean, the ladies toilet a joy to behold, can recommend this pub to all of you out there.

  Its was OK

  Food was average apart for the steak pie which was delicious and could have fed two. Burger was very mediocre Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff Dogs allowed in the bar which is great as some lovely walks

  A romantic night away

  We felt safe staying at this hotel, given the present environment. We found the hotel provided a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The drinks and meals were excellent qualit, being provided by local specialist suppliers. The room was clean and warm, with a comfortable bed. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
