  Grand children & I - August 18- 21, 2019

  My 2 gkids & I stayed in an "studio apartment" for the captioned dates. The facility cost approximately $400/night. We had a king-sized bed & a pullout & a very small space. No AC in tiny kitchen or bath. Whereas the space was just adequate for 3 nights - it certainly was not a good value. The beach was gorgeous & the staff very accommodating, nice pool, etc. We had to put up our own umbrella & chairs every day. Montauk lovely in general but so over-priced. Glad I have been given a chance to view that part of the world - I will probably not return! So many nicer places to stay for so much less! Glad I live in the South - can fly my gkids down to many nicer places for much less money!!

  Driftwood? More like found treasure.

  I booked a weekday trip away from NYC for some much needed rest and relaxation. Keep in mind that I stayed at the Driftwood post-Labor Day, so much of the action you'd normally find out in Montauk had already passed. Using HotelTonight, I found a pretty great deal for a studio at Driftwood that fit all my needs: something with direct beach access, a pool, and, well, that's it. I only ended up using the pool once, but it was nice. Room was great. Updated kitchen/bathroom, with a spacious living area. My unit was facing the dunes, but there are ocean-front properties available. Tom was a great team member who helped check me in quickly, even while helping out a few other folks who needed help with streaming Netflix in their room. Driftwood is located approximately 16 minutes to Montauk Point State Park, and about 5 minutes to Lunch and the Clam Bar. There isn't any food available on-site, and neither is there a bar, but that's all within reasonable distance by car. Might take a little longer on bike, so plan accordingly, as not all shops will operate during summer hours. Would highly recommend this place in the off-season if you're looking for something low-key and chill. I'll be back!

  Excellent Staff and Great location

  Room were very nice, we booked a 1 bedroom with pull out couch, plenty of room for 4 people. The walls are a little thin so you can hear people in the next room or talking outside....it didn't bother us though. Our room was on the ground level which was right next to the walkway that leads to the beach. Went to the beach yoga class in the morning which was very fun and relaxing. The gym is a nice size with equipment for a total body workout. 5 minute drive to town and local restaurants. Will definitely be back next year!

  great place to rellax

  Needed a break from city living and the heat. Wanted a pool and easy access to the beach. Driftwood has both! My room was a large studio and was spacious. The cable system had many channels and even a few HBO choices. The terrace was large with a table and 4 chairs and an umbrella on it. The other side of the terrace had a couch with many pillows. The room could use a but of sprucing up and the bathroom was from the 1950's. The kitchenette was new and clean. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Most guests were repeat visitors that stay a week every summer. I would return even if the bathroom was old - - I relaxed, swam in the ocean and the pool and met nice people. The location of the motel is about 5 miles to the heart of Montauk. Uber was easy to get. I would return here for a low key, relaxing vacation.

  Wonderful individual cottages on the Beach

  Love this place ! calm , clean perfect setting .Need a car to get into town . Have tried to rent cottage but always booked . Small pool perfect for relaxing Quiet and away from Crowds .Drawback minimum Nights required books out early in year .
