  Todo bien

  Esta cerca del centro, el hotel es limpio y la habitación con el baño estaba muy bien. La verdad es que dormimos super bien, no podemos quejarnos, además el desayuno estaba muy bien, muy completo con huevos, salchichas cosas calientes y frias la verdad nuestra mejor estancia en los paises del Báltico Bueno poco que decir la verdad quizás que te sientes un poco como entrando en un sótano

  Not really......

  We only used this hotel during daytime waiting for our connecting flight at night. For that purpose it was fine. Clean, cheap, friendly service, good for a laydown and for a quick visit to the old city. Weve visited Riga before, and then stayed in the old town. This option is too far away and steals time. Youre in Riga for the historic vibrant old town. A minus is that the hotel is not staffed after 4 oclock. But it is value for money. Ill give them that!

  Potentially good

  Riga was a pleasant surprise to me, the Old City is lovely. This hotel could be the same with just a little more effort! Riga city hotels are as expensive as some major European capitals, so this 'hotel' is good value for the area. If you have a medium budget you have two options, go further out and pay the transport costs or stay near the city centre and pay more! The Hotel is more like a hostel but with a little more effort could be much better. It is a mixture between basic / tatty and modern quality....very strange. Its almost like the owners started to improve the place but run out of money! Example is our bathroom was modern, nicely tiled, good shower and plenty of room, but the room was tired, little furniture to store your clothes and had curtains that were too long just secured with clip pegs that kept unclipping when you tried to close them. The bed linen was clean but two pillows had pillowcases, the other two didn't, weird! The towels are changed every 3 days and were hard/rough but clean. There was no reception but a phone number to ring for assistance, which was ok and they spoke English. The breakfast & breakfast room were very basic, so didn't bother using! As I said, this place could be so much better with a little more investment & effort. I haven't stayed anywhere else in Riga to compare it with but it did seem good value for the area.

  good value for money

  Very convenient location as it pretty much in the city center and all attractions, restaurants, bars, shops,night life etc are within short walking distance. Hotel has all basic facilities is clean and comfortable, helpful staff, basic but filling breakfast that will keep you going for most of the day. Airport public transport is only within couple of minutes. For arrivals outside reception opening hours there is simple and easy self check in when personalized text is sent to gain access to your room. Hotel has no dedicated parking but just across the road there is 24/7 parking available and also street parking pay par hour and should be free outside peak hours.

  Left after 2 hours trying to warm up!

  The most terrible experience ever. Chose this place because of the location, had to attend Christmas due around the corner. As it was coldest day so far (-7C), decided to stay in the hotel to be comfortable and to enjoy the night. When entered the room on the 1st floor, heating was switched on, but on the minimum, so it was freezing in there both in the room and bathroom. Turned on the heater on the maximum and waited. Plan to take a bath or at least to wash hair and to start dressing for the night was postponed. After 2 hours of waiting on heaters, realized there is also no hot water in the bathroom, also room didnt get any warmer. Decided to go out for a hot drink to give room another chance/more time to warm up. Outside the room understood that room wont warm up enough today, - it was super cold outside the building itself. Aftermath: came back after 1 hour or so, still not warm enouh to take a shower, also still no hot water. Decision was made immediately - we left! Luckily had a chance to go back home! Dont know how we would survive a night in there if wouldnt have a chance to leave. Maybe it would be a different experience during another season as location is great. But still the most important thing you expext from every hotel is to be warm in winter.
