Staying here while visiting hospitalThis was the 3rd Hotel Ive stayed in while visiting my brother in intensive care at the queen Elizabeth hospital. Great location! I was surprised by some of the previous reviews, yes the fan was a little noisy but not a problem. The breakfast was really good, the staff were very hospitable and the rooms were very clean. Their social distancing measures are excellent. So what would I change? Well the vegan burger could do with a bit of salad or relish but FairPlay to the guy who stepped up when chef called in sick he did a fab job, a few more pescatarian options would be good but really for the price you cant complain, this place is cheap and the house wine is probably the best house wine Ive ever had. And the rooms are comfortable.

The good the bad and very goodFor the price this hotel is pretty good, with refurbished rooms and pleasant communal areas. The staff were friendly, albeit there was a bit of computer says no, when it comes to check-in by screen. Overall the hotel is a bit bland however and impersonal. The bathrooms do not seen to be as good as the bedrooms, the fan does scream (I turned it off at the wall), and the shower has so little pressure to make the otherwise nice rainfall shower head mostly useless. The switch knob to the mixer shower attachment was missing so this option was not available either. The bedroom and bathroom were though both very clean. I agree with other comments that storage space was minimal. Breakfast (I had the included in the room rate option) was very good. I did though make the mistake of eating in for dinner. This is to be avoided, the food was very poor. Better to eat at the Frankie and Benny's on the other side of the roundabout for better food, better atmosphere and comfier seating, for a similar price.

Afternoon TeaWent for an afternoon tea today and it was amazing. Massive selection to pick from,in the end couldnt eat it all. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great space for dining and like the little touch with old photos of Kings Lynn. Will definitely return again for Groupon meal deal.

What a dumpWhat an absolute dump! Looks brilliant on pictures but the whole ground floor smelt of damp like a mouldy washing basket I had bites on my arms off the beds also the food was horrendous hunters chicken was raw dangerously so. Some of the staff were fine others were very unwelcoming and miserable and dont mention the showers the water dribbles out stay clear!!!!!!

Not the bestWhilst this room was clean enough, it was lacking. We arrived from a distance to attend a funeral. We didn't know all the rules around Covid. With the long journey and the emotional reason for travel the last thing I needed was to have to check in with a machine, especially when the staff member was right there talking to us. Much nicer if she could have checked us in as usual and explained where our room was instead of us expecting to read and take in the instructions on screen. Anyway, eventually we found the room....that was like staying in a fridge. Heater was set at 17 degrees....why wasn't this altered when the room was prepared, given forecast was for cold temperatures. We slept part clothed but woken at 6.38am by two staff members delivering breakfast to another room talking loudly as they walked past our door. And every time someone opened the corridor door it squeaked noisily....it needs oiling immediately!! We were in room 102. Shower needs maintenance around the sealer. Just doesn't look nice. Bed was soft, pillows were hard. On the plus, breakfast was tasty, arrived on time. It was clean. And, it was cheap. So I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'll pay more at a different hotel so I can be warm!!
