  Fabulous & Tasty Lake Retreat

  What a treat to enjoy a weekend away from the city at bucolic Dragonfly Dock B&B, on the shore of beautiful Shawnigan Lake. The house is stunning, with views onto the Lake and a short walk down to the dock. Our room (Fishing Hole) was super cosy and the bed very comfortable. We had no issues sharing a bathroom, which is spacious, as is the kitchen and family room/den that we had pretty much to ourselves. The outdoor hot tub, set in the forested property, is fabulous and you feel pretty giddy sitting there relaxing while looking out onto the lake. The most wonderful thing about Dragonfly Dock are the hosts, Della and Kevin, and Della's incredible cooking skills. She is an amazing chef and the breakfast spread was better than most hotels we've stayed in. Eggs benedict, minted fruit salad, lemon-ricotta pancakes, puff pastry with caramelized onions & scrambled eggs - just wonderful cuisine. The Nespresso lattes were the perfect additional touch to a truly delicious and memorable stay. If you're in the southern Vancouver Island area, it's worth a stopover to enjoy the pleasures & hospitality of this excellent B&B.

  A Slice of Heaven

  One choice can make an entire vacation and for us that choice was to stay at the Dragonfly Dock B & B. We had planned to stay in the city of Victoria but the recommended B & B was full. So in searching on line we found Dragonfly and decided to stay 30 minutes outside of Victoria and have a combined lake and city vacation. Well, once we got to the the B & B and to their peaceful lake we never left. This places appealed to everything I love. Beautiful, immaculate accommodations. Della, a dream hostess and chef made breakfasts that were beyond, beyond. Not only a place to sleep but a large living room area and kitchen facility for our use. A hot tube and the lake area. Dragonfly is also surrounded by quaint fishing villages to visit. Several really good options for lunches and dinners. Hiking trails, whale watching opportunities and a fertile area where people offer their artistic crafts to you from glass blowing and pottery and art and artesian foods. If your should is fed by beauty, ditch the city and head on out to the lake.

  Excellent!

  This B&B is a little slice of heaven. We visit Shawnagain on a regular basis as our children go to school in the area. The location is wonderful and the accommodations clean and top quality. The breakfast was to die for. First Class!!!!!!!!! We will be back.

  Great getaway spot

  Such a beautiful spot! Amazing hostess and the breakfasts were spectacular. We were very disappointed to find out that they won't be open much longer as they are moving. Go while you can!!!! Extremely comfortable king bed in the Moose Lodge room.

  Beautiful heritage home, with great breakfast

  A great B & B to get away, to stay close to Shawnigan school. Peaceful, clean rooms in a large home filled with antiques and great entertaining owner. A wholesome breakfast is served in the morning at a reasonable price.
