Nice but unusable kitchenThe place itself is nice, the room was clean, fair sized and equipped with all the necessary. The big problem was the lack of attention to the kitchen, which was basically unusable. We stayed for two nights, when we arrived we found the microwave dirty with some disgusting stinky leftover and when we left it was still in the same conditions, so I have to assume that nobody even bothered to check and clean the kitchen from time to time. Furthermore, we couldn't find any tool or cuttlery to cook and eat, so I can say that the kitchen was essentially absent. Seen the huge flow of backpackers in Nelson, I would strongly recommend to improve this area of the facility.

The worst bed I have ever slept onWe stayed in a queen room. The room itself was OK, although not exactly clean. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. We supposedly got the quietest room in the back (#17), but the noise from the nightclub was very loud. Thankfully, we only stayed one night.

Stay away!My friend and I (21 & 22) stayed here for Baydreams. No parking and hard to find the entrance. The bed was clearly unmade when we got there and there was hair in the sheets. Black and white mould on the walls and carpet. The hot water turns off after about 1 minute. The nightclub underneath is another story. We were warned it was loud but not that loud. The room vibrates until 3am and I woke up to plaster dust all over my clothing. The manager could be heard verbally abusing a young woman in the reception. We were so excited when we read the club was closed Sunday (only warned of noise Friday/Saturday) but alas the music and vibration started at 11pm Sunday night. We got more of a rest at the dang festival.

New apartment @ $850 for 5 nughtsSuper cheap Bed didnt even have a mattress protector and just a thin synthetic sheet...entrance to apartment was dodgy (see photos) and was dark. Wifi glitched continuously. Above a nightclub which isnt mentioned so bloody noisy... and to top it off, you cant lock the front door. Wtf???stay elsewhere.

DONT STAY HERE. ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTSBooked 2 rooms for 2 nights on HostelWorld to stay in January for $90 per room per night. When I called up to confirm, the guy told me that what it said on HostelWorld was wrong and I had only booked one room(which is false because I had the confirmation right in front of me) and I would in fact have to pay $250 per room per night or have to find somewhere else to stay. The reviews were so bad the only reason we were staying here in the first place is because there was literally nowhere else that we could find. Luckily we found some alternative accomodation but its just by luck that I called up because otherwise we would have gotten there in January and been scammed out of our money or been out on the street without anywhere to stay
