  Muy agradable

  Muy buena atención, nosotros que hicimos una noche en transito, fue muy útil. Tiene servicio de traslado del aeropuerto al hotel, habitaciones muy amplias y limpias, desayunos muy completos, todo incluido en el precio.

  Tried to charge me twice

  I arrived about midnight and the shuttle bus had left without me and another woman. However, he did come back after a few phone calls and a couple of hours waiting at the airport. My travel agent had paid for my accommodation and I had verification of it. The lady at the desk still said I hadn't paid, as it was 2am and my first time in the country, I had to pay for it again. At about 7am, they found out that I had paid and reimburst me. Very sloppy work. Wasn't a good start to my three week holiday. The TV didn't work, the phone didn't work. The shower was not clean. The breakfast was good and Doves Nest is close to the airport. I wouldn't go there again.

  Convenient

  Conveniently located close to the OR Tambo Airport. They were kind enough to take me in after my booking got lost with another guest house. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and the dinner was nice, though would appreciate a variety of options to choose from.

  Chose for location and free shuttle

  When I stay over a night to catch a flight the next morning, I usually don't care much about the accommodation. I obviously do a little research and it is crazy how different experiences can be.. I chose Dove's Nest because of the photos, reviews of others and location of course. Free shuttle is also a must and I think it is crazy that some accommodation do charge. Anyway, I did not get picked up and had to call and wait more than an hour for driver to arrive. The driver arrived with another lady and I would love to mention them here but I did not get an introduction. Usually while driving, you get to know the people and talk a little bit but this one couldn't care less, I guess. First impression. The ladies at reception were nice as arrived but during midday there was a shift change and the dragon came out. I wish again I could say the name here, but again not names mentioned. I got a room, that was not in the photos for a reason. I mean, I did not expect much but for more than one night, and I would've gone crazy. The single room made me anxious and I don't even have anxiety. Very blunt and needs care, I felt as I was showed in someones garage. Everything was so tiny and slim, bathroom did not even allow for my thing to find place. Shower was ok, not too much water pressure and temperature but all right. I was provided towel and soap as well as fan & heater and a TV. A closet was handy to put away my luggage. A little desk with a tea & coffee station was also there and appreciated, especially since there was no food options in walking distance and the shuttle to any nearby malls were pricey and not scheduled. I did try to order food through online apps but they were just as shiat and now we are getting to the tea... the reception shift changed, remember the dragon? I don't know what political, racial or religious problems she had but she made me feel discriminated by just looking at me. As I was trying to ask her questions about ordering food, a group arrived and there was plenty of staff to either help them or me but none of them showed any interest, whatsoever. I was waiting, left to my room, came back, waited longer and no reaction. I at the end was so hungry that I put aside my politeness and asked for the ordering chart again and finally got it. She allowed me to use her phone to call the people and communicated my order, since the service of the food place was just as bad. I don't use Nando's often and didn't want to examine the menu but according to the guy on the phone, if you don't know the menu, you are not worth his time or effort. alongside with me, other people ordered food (also the reception rude lady) and I was asked to pay with card and they would give me back cash and I am sure I got ripped off. The next day, there was only one scheduled shuttle to airport, no matter what time your flight was and guess when they told me that ? just as the shuttle was about to leave. So why questions at evening about my flights if it doesn't matter ? Why not just let me know right then and there?! It was only lucky that I got out of the room! The weather mirrored my mood with rains and storms so I couldn't go around and take pictures.. not that it was worth it anyway. I was really upset with the human interaction in this facility. one night, and that is it.

  FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE BUDGET BARE NECESSITIES CONVENIENT

  LOCATION   AWESOME location near OR Tambo Airport, perfect for transit, early late flights and bus terminal access.   SERVICE   Satisfactory service from staff, who will try solve any problems guests may have. I observed them ordering takeway for other guests afterhours, as there was no nearby restaurant. They also arranged urgent shuttle transport to the bus terminal for 2 ladies who were not collected by Ashtons shuttle. The neighborhood is dodgy, as we observed the nearest shoprite near a Kombi depot with many homeless individuals harassing customers.    Security is good and long-term parking can be arranged with their associated business We park cars which includes a free car wash. We had booked the parking for 3 weeks, and flew to CT for the first 3 days before returning for an evening at Doves Nest and catching the next day international flight. The accommodation airport shuttle service and accommodation was therefore crucial to our journey and fit our schedule perfectly.   ROOMS   WIFI was slow in the rooms with only one bar and frequent disconnections. However WIFI at reception was 5 bars and fast. Budget accommodation for budget price, you get what you pay for. Bathroom decent, room had one towel so we requested another which was brought over.    Granted the NEST is actually quite busy all hours of the day with the shuttle service, guests and airplane noise, would not recommend place for light sleepers, especially the first row rooms of the building. These rooms will also be often illuminated by car lights entering and exiting the premises. For those who need peace and quiet, the rooms at the back are favorable (and bigger).   FOOD   The breakfast was simple but delicious and tenderly prepared by the cook. The restaurant is small but lovely with a view of trees, patios and birds chirping around.   SUMMARY   BEST of the NEST is the HOURLY AIRPORT SHUTTLE, PARKING and BREAKFAST!
