Entre Oxford y LondresExcelente hotel con muy buenas instalaciones y amplia habitación, situado muy cerca de Thame un pequeño pueblo con una variada gama de pubs y restaurantes y comercios . Tiene bornes de recarga para vehículos eléctricos.

Poor Experience due to Covid Cost CuttingWe have stayed at this hotel several times before and liked it. However, this time we were disappointed due to the readily apparent cost cutting presumably occasioned by Covid. Firstly, despite being Hilton Gold, we were not offered any upgrade, despite the hotel not being full. I suspect that the hotel was only using standard rooms. The receptionist did not even note our status. The room itself was clean and comfortable, although the power failed during the last evening so not ideal. I directly booked a spa treatment but when I attended they appointment they could not find it, eventually saying that was because it was booked under my husband's name as on the room booking, rather than my (same surname) direct booking. The restaurant had an extremely limited menu and service was slow. At breakfast the same member of staff was covering reception and serving the hot food. This led to delays both in getting seated and in service, with consequent long queues through the dining room. The range was limited. What was most annoying was the use of no brand sauces sachets. Whilst we understand the use of sachets in the circumstances, we could not open the no brand sachets. As a result of the petty penny pinching we expended considerable effort only to get sauce over our fingers. Overall, just a symptom of the cuts to the service. In all this, I do not criticise the staff. The limited number of staff were doing their best under difficult circumstances. However, the clear approach of severe cost cutting has left a negative impression on the Hilton brand. The cost cutting went too far.

Safe, friendly, comfortable stayMy husband and I stayed at the DoubleTree this past weekend for a mini break, along with our cavapoo puppy. We chose the DoubleTree for its pet-friendly rooms and proximity to Oxford, and the hotel definitely did not disappoint! Our room was clean and comfortable, particularly the bed. We loved the powerful waterfall shower. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful - shoutout to Jon who helped us with some great local recommendations! We enjoyed the warm, delicious cookies upon arrival, as well as our breakfast each day which offered several hot and cold options and was always served with a smile. In regards to COVID security, all staff wore masks, social distancing was fully enforced, and there was hand sanitiser available everywhere. We were made to feel completely safe and protected by the hotel's measures. Overall, we loved the amenities and location of the hotel, and the affordable price of our room was a bonus for the high quality of experience we received - we will certainly be back on our next visit to Oxford!

Mr Martin lambStaff very welcomeing rooms are very clean food was good. The GM jhon very helpful and all the waitress staff are very helpful. I would recommend this to all people for work and pleasure. The spa facilities when they were open when I was last year are very clean and well presented

Fantastic customer service and lovely hotel and location.I have stayed at this hotel on 4 occasions now. I stayed on the 17th December. This was the day before my wedding. During chit chat at reception my partner mentioned we were getting married the next day. Once we had checked into our room the woman who checked us in had arranged for us to have 2 drinks on the house brought to the room. Later on at dinner we also got a dessert with congratulations on it. I didn't catch the woman at receptions name but this was so thoughtful and meant so much to us. Every staff member was so friendly with us and made our stay. On the morning of our wedding my partner ( embarrassingly!) could not tie his tie and a member of staff obliged in doing it for him. As my partner's father was a diamond member for many years, I've been lucky enough to stay at lots of different Hiltons around the world and this hotel rates among some of the best I've been to due to the customer service alone. Times are difficult right now for many but coming to this hotel was an escape from that. The rooms were clean and spacious and the grounds beautiful. Thank you for making our wedding period even more special.
