Ultra friendly and helpful staffWe stayed one night to break a journey. All the staff we met were super helpful, polite and hard working. We arrived about 11am due to journey timings and were immediately allocated an upgraded room, presumably as nothing else was available. Magdalena on the front desk was very helpful and explained all the covid-19 related changes. There is free car parking. The room was spotless and we had a good stay. Breakfast has returned to a reduced buffet with staff plating up hot items for guests. This means that breakfast service is faster (than waiting for everything to be cooked and plated in the kitchen) and that you can have seconds! The restaurant staff were all very friendly. Although the main restaurant isnt open after breakfast, the bar stays open till 2145 and there is room service - the food was decent and pub-type. We enjoyed our stay and felt it was great value for money.

Comfortable stayPlenty of parking and easy to find. Great welcome with a warm cookie. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. A nice warm shower too. A good stay had by our party. Would definitely return.

Avoid.Avoid at all cost. I would not recommend making a booking at this hotel especially not through hotel.com. Made a booking on 8/10/20 via hotel.com to stay for one night on 29/10/20. On the website at the time of booking and on my confirmation email it states: Free cancellation until If you change or cancel your booking after 00:00, 28/10/2020 propertys local time (GMT+00:00) you will be charged a £52.56 fee If you change or cancel your booking after 20:00, 28/10/2020 propertys local time (GMT+00:00) you will be charged a 100% fee Due to increasing COVID risks, our family decided to cancel the booking tonight. I was refunded £9.27. I was absolutely furious and noted Doubletree Nottingham Hilton has unilaterally changed the cancellation policy after I have paid for the room in full on the day when I made the booking. They have changed it to: Cancellation policy You agreed to the hotels cancellation policy below: If you change or cancel your booking on or before 20:00, 10/28/20 propertys local time (GMT+00:00) you will be charged a £52.56 fee If you change or cancel your booking after 20:00, 10/28/20 propertys local time (GMT+00:00) you will be charged a 100% fee I am not a lawyer but I am sure it is illegal to unilaterally change the terms in a mutually agreed and paid for contract. They have sent me the confirmation to say they are refunding £9.27 to me and so they have essentially taken money from me illegally. I have filed a complaint through hotel.com and directly to Hilton. This is utterly disgraceful.

Weekend breakWe had a lovely stay at this hotel. Food was ok and all the rooms were lovely. Lots of social distancing and everyone wore masks. Rooms were noy cleaned on daily basis due to the current situation but written information is there to let them know if one requires anthing. Overall, i would recommend the hotel to anyone, great for family.

Big Up to the DoubletreeUnfortunately the Hilton Hotel system makes it very hard to contact a particular hotel, as you get lost in the centralised system, so Im not able to thank the hotel directly, which is a pity. I stayed here as part of a group and despite the difficulties of running hospitality at this time, I was very impressed with how this hotel was running. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the arrangements for our meals - breakfast and dinner were top class. The COVID precautions they had taken were extensive and very reassuring and I felt very comfortable staying and eating here. Well done to staff and management at the Doubletree, hopefully will be able to return in better times.
