Very NiceAs a Hilton Honors Diamond member- Im always interested in locating the very best in Hilton accommodations. It would also be my goal to get the most bang for my bucks or in this case the most punch for my points. The DoubleTree Hotel in Lawrenceburg, IN achieved both of these aspirations. The hotel is conveniently located in a intersection that serves a both a haven for saints (the Creation Museum) and for sinners (Hollywood Casino). The hotel has many amazing features and amenities including the delicious DoubleTree trademark Chocolate Chip Cookies and the ever so comfortable Dream Cloud mattresses. The rooms are super safe with the Hilton CleanStay pledge of the highest standards to provide that extra level of confidence to protect us from COVID-19 (and beyond). Additionally masks are required in all common areas as Hiltons way of protecting guests and staff from COVID. We felt safe & clean. If for any reason we didnt - They promised to make it right or that nights stay is free This hotel also has an excellent view of the Ohio River (as it adjacent to it) and of the city of Lawrenceburg. You can ask for a city view or river view room. I recommend the river view and 9th floor (the highest floor). The hotel seemed short staffed (which might be due to COVID) but it might be due to lull in guests. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We were particularly impressed with Debbie in the StatBucks cafe. She was super friendly and extremely attentive to every detail. Our only concerns about our Diamond Stay: - the rooms are very dark & should you need to make a trek to the bathroom - be aware of the maze to the toilet. Fortunately, there are small motion lights to guide your path - but you might scout this out before retiring for the evening. -it appeared that all of the mirrors in the room were streaked & smudged. This is a sign of either dirty cloths or using wrong solution to clean. Just a recommendation for housekeeping going forward. - some of the furnishings seem to be showing their age. Might recommend full inspection of all sofas, chairs, night stands & tables for nicks & stains. - light switches are somewhat confusing as the switches are tied to lamps in other rooms & entryway. Very frustrating. - Diamond Breakfast in a pandemic consists of Starbucks sandwiches, danishes & muffins topped off with Starbucks signature coffee, lattes, teas or hot chocolate. Not exactly what Id experienced pre-pandemic- but acceptable none the less. SUMMARY- for a great nights rest with a decent breakfast, convenient location and a fair exchange of points (or dollars) for lodging - we give this hotel 4 Stars Hats off to Debbie - she was the fifth Star that truly made our stay

Good and badPros: friendly front desk staff, downtown close to everything, nice to walk along the river, free parking, large room and bathroom. Cons: parking garage is across the street (no attached walkway), not much parking near door and no valet, limited menu on site, no hand sanitizer in any of the machines, you can walk down the stairs but cannot re-enter to go up the stairs, no sound barrierscould literally hear the lyrics to neighbors music., no in room refrigerator.

The good and badHow I wish I had read the reviews before we booked this hotel. The good- The location. The hotel is located along the river in the cutest town. You can walk to so many stores and restaurants. There is also a pathway along the river and a restaurant on the river. (closed in the winter) Hotel was pretty clean, lobby was nice. The bad- THE NOISE!!! The walls are SO thin you can hear the people next door talking, laughing, watching t.v. Every door opening and closing near you in the hallway, shakes your room. it made for a miserable night. Thankful for ear plugs the second night just so we could get a little sleep. It literally sounds like the people next door are in the room with you. As much as I loved the location, I am not sure I would pay to stay here again.

Wait, This is Hilton? It was always my understanding that the Hilton brand was high-quality, but that's not quite the case here. First, I want to say *dramatic sigh of disappointment* no one received a cookie in our party. Other family members we were traveling with (four people, different room reservation) all received the classic, warm treat, but it wasn't offered to us at check-in. Shame, shame. That aside, cleanliness can be improved (wasn't filthy, just could be tidier - crumbs left in the kitchen, cereal under the couch, mirrors and glass super streaked, things of that nature). The staff was -for the most part - friendly, however, there were a couple who seemed bothered or unconcerned with our needs. There were only two towels (in a suite for four people), no bedding for the sofa bed, and no trash bags (for one trash can the size of a gallon bucket) - I am assuming they thought no guests would have actual trash accumulation. We had to keep calling (separate occasions as the needs arose) to get extra towels, housekeeping (to take out the overflowing trash on day 2), and bedding. Finally, but **certainly not least,** the walls are paper thin, and there is a vent by the door that carries sound from room to room. The night before check out, guests in the room in front of us were partying. We heard it all! Very disrespectful on their behalf, but it should never have been that easy to hear either. The staff came up twice, informing them to quiet down once. Their warning didn't seem to concern the partying guests, however, since they continued throughout the night - going in and out, slamming their door, laughing and screaming loudly. The staff did try to help us by offering a complementary breakfast (a pre-made sandwich and coffee from the coffee shop) the next morning. Not their fault, but a flawed and cheap building design! Even just the TV could be heard when it was on. So word of warning there, you may not get a good night's sleep if your neighbor makes any noise!! Oh, another note, there's only parking in a public garage across the street. Not too convenient. And the coffe shop *serves* Starbucks, but isn't a Starbucks. So don't worry with the app and stars, because you won't be able to use them here.
