Does NOT meet expectations for this brandFrom the beginning... arrived late at night on a business trip. Parking was a mystery due to poor signage. It was about 50 degrees outside and the room temperature was 61 degrees. It took several hours to bring the room up to 72. The vent on the HVAC was caked with dust. The faucet in the bathroom was loose, flopping around on the sink. There were crumbs on the floor in front of the desk. Looks like poor housekeeping - left the A/C absurdly low, didn't clean well and never bothered to report the broken faucet. It was late, it was a one-night stay, and I was too tired to go back downstairs and endure the hassle of getting another room. My teammates complained of room-to-room noise (thin walls) at breakfast. I did the email survey and got an email apology from the GM. That's it. Thanks for nothing more than email sentiments. Really disappointing insofar as this is supposed to be a reputable brand, and in a major downtown market no less. Turn it around Hilton-DoubleTree. You can do better.

Dark and not so cleanWe went to Jacksonville for the Mega RV show and we planned on staying Friday thru the weekend at checkout on Monday. The only bright spot was Susan at check-in and Ruth Chris restaurant which is a part of the hotel. Everything else was dark and dirty. Our room had an old smell to it and the rug was not clean. We reserved a 2 queen room but the bathroom was only big enough for one person. No room for your toiletries and in the corner of the shower/tub there was some kind of mold. The thermostat wasnt working properly and the lite was a good amount of dirt on it as well. We checked out on Saturday and found a much nicer hotel. I also completed the their own survey about their hotel and told them the same story and they never responded. So save your money and stay somewhere else !

Quarantine hotel- avoid! We stayed 1 night at the Doubletree Riverfront. We were greeted in the lobby by 2 men in military uniform across from the front desk. The hotel was being used as a quarantine space!! No one told us when we made the reservation. Infact, when I called Hilton to find out how the rooms are kept, I was told that no one is in the room at least 24 hours before I arrive. But when I got there, I was told my room wasn't ready. It was being cleaned! We never felt so unsafe in a hotel. Never mind that it was shabby and that the room smelled stale. And I paid extra for a riverfront view! EECH! Avoid this hotel.

The only thing going for this hotel, is the view. From the beginning it got worse. Stood in line for over 30 minutes to check in. My husband had time to park AND go to our vehicle twice for our things. Of course, there were no luggage carts. Get to the 10th floor and walking off the elevator was like the scene from Fast Times At Ridgemont High when Spicoli and his friend roll out of the pot smoke filled van. It was very aromatic! Got to our room and it just went downhill from there. The only thing going for it was the view but who could enjoy the balcony because there was no furniture to sit on. Our friends room on the river side had furniture. So they must think if your on the other side you don't need it? The pictures of the rooms conditions speak for themselves. I expect these conditions in a Motel 6 or Red Roof, NOT a Hilton property! Head back down to the lobby. Oh, look I get to stand in line for another 30 minutes to speak to the front desk. I just gave up and hoped the pot smokers left. The next morning, I lucked out and was able to speck to the front desk about the pot smokers/smell. The lady at the front desk assured me she would bring it up to the manager who was coming in at 8. Well...I never heard from the manager that the problem was resolved AND the smell continued threw our entire stay. If you are considering this hotel, don't mind poor service, dirty and run down accommodations, this one is for you.

Looks good from the lobby viewThis hotel was falling apart. Water leaking in the parking lots. Luggage carriages need repair. Extra small rooms. I expected more from a Hilton hotel. We are members of Hilton Honors and we will re-evaluate that.
