A Costly Nighmare! The room was fine BUT the hidden extra charges were terrible. I initially booked the room on their website for the listed price for $118, king room. Thought that was a fair deal. Several hours later, when I received the itemized bill, the cost had ballooned to $171. Extras were charged for using their website, for cleaning the room and "other" unspecified charges. Today, I checked my credit card statement and there were two more charges, $17.00 and $50.00! For what? The hotel was empty - we were the first to check in. There were only two staff, one at the front desk and one cleaning. The place was totally empty - no services. Our room didn't even have the two standard glasses that come with a room. No little liquor bottles in the fridge - nothing. We never even used the shower, although we did use some toilet paper and tissues.

Great effort, bad deliveryStayed here for one quick night on a road trip in late June. I usually stay at other hotels when I'm in Regina - the Hilton is basically where you stay if you want to spend the extra ~$40 for a really clean room, quieter stay, secure parking, etc. When I approached the hotel, it was completely locked. It had been a couple years since I was in Regina, so I actually wondered for a minute if maybe it had permanently shut down. But as I was walking away a nice friendly woman told me they were open and guided me inside. The place was empty - the usually bustling Starbucks is closed for now, the restaurant was closed, and the place was completely devoid of other guests. It was a little weird. They are taking the pandemic VERY seriously - I was told there were no guests allowed, no delivery people allowed. This was fine by me as I was only staying for the night and leaving early in the morning. I was also told the internet service was down, which was unfortunate. I do feel like if the amenities are all shut down, and the internet is down, and you're not allowed to do the kinds of things guests are usually allowed to do, you should maybe see a lower rate. But their rate was just as high as ever. They promised the room would be spotless and sanitized, and sealed with a sticker when I got there, which it was. The room was clean, though there was a film on all the counters - seemed like residue from a bleach-based cleaning product. Otherwise it seemed fine until I opened the fridge - and the last person's Olive Garden leftovers were in there! Gross!! 10/10 for effort, 4/10 on delivery.

Non-Disclosure of DetailsI stay at this hotel very frequently. I book online. When I recently went to check-in, I was told by the desk clerk (Dylan, I think his name was) that I am not permitted to have any visitors to my room. Now, I do business and I have co-workers and friends that live in this city. Sometimes I like to get together with them. I usually book a suite so there is plenty of room to have a friend or two over for a drink and socialize. I was not aware of this detail upon booking my rooms. Why is this a surprise upon check in? Needless to say, a few days after my arrival my girlfriend had some unexpected time off from work. She came to the hotel, and as she walked past the same man he asked her where she was going. She indicated the room number. He asked my name. She told him. He asked her for her name, she told him and showed her ID. I got a text message from her. I went downstairs and there he was being extremely rude to her. I couldn't believe it. This was the first time I had experienced a negative experience. I do think Dylan needs some PR training and I would like to see this hotel disclose all details upon booking. If this rule stays in place, (which I haven't seen at any other hotel, and I travel frequently) I can attest I won't stay here any longer. I would like to thank the restaurant folks, what hospitality. I would also like to thank you to the Filipino lady who works the day shifts. You always smile and say good morning each day. This is great PR, please teach Dylan
