  Great hotel

  Went to this hotel for my brother's wedding and they did not disappoint. From the moment we booked to the time we checked out the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating! I would definitely recommend the Double Tree in Claremont!

  Check into the ICU at Claremont Community Hospital Before Staying Here

  In an effort to one up the Governor of California Hilton Doubletree Claremont requires not only social distancing but face masks anywhere (hallways, pool area, etc) on the property. Even though the governor has allowed gyms to be open Doubletree Claremont has decided to keep theirs closed. When l questioned this they told me it was to protect our guests ahhhh news flash Doubletree Claremont I DONT NEED YOU TO PROTECT ME! Want housekeeping? You better tell them up front or they wont do it (yep to protect their guests)... It seems to me they are using this pandemic as an excuse to cut services and save money. Before they do all of this they should just close until they can provide service e Hilton guests are use to receiving. The restaurant staff were incredible under ridiculous management imposed rules. This is a nice hotel and we have stayed here several times outside of this era we are in and always enjoyed our stay. This time though was terrible. Do yourself a favor stay somewhere else until Doubletree decides to provide the service they are charging you for!

  Hilton Honors member .No free WiFi at this location.Travel a lot for work always stay in Hiltons.Called front desk and they wouldnt even give me a promotional code .Only $5 dollars for WiFi but is it me or is service getting worse after COVID .

  Doubtful they sanitized

  We arrived to find the door sealed with a sticker that announced the room had been sanitized by Lysol products, although the dirty towels hanging in the bathroom, the soap scum on the edge of the tub from the previous users bar of soap, and the hair in the bottom of the tub and in the shower curtain and genera dust everywhere told us differently. We brought our own wipes and cleaned every surface and asked for clean towels. Our other family member had to switch rooms two times a because hers had a pool of water on the bathroom floor from a broken sink, a fridge full of old food, makeup on bathroom mirrors, and hair everywhere, among other things, also showing that nothing has d been wiped down or checked. Weve had rooms better cleaned before Covid, youd think during Covid theyd actually clean them and take the extra steps they say they do. We passed a few housekeeping carts in the hallway and saw no Lysol products anywhere. Bring your own cleaners, wipes, and sanitizers. They did take care of the two people below us who where chain smoking in their room so the smoke smell in our room dissipated after some time.

  The DoubleTree To Pick

  This was my second trip to the area in 2 years, I had picked a different Doubletree the last time because it was $20 or so per night cheaper the last time and decided to give this one a try. Very glad I did! This hotel has a boutique feel that other Doubletrees don't. It is in the quiet town of Claremont in the bustling Inland Empire part of Southern California, and like the town this hotel is an oasis of peace. The front desk was very communicative by email & text even before my stay. I really liked receiving texts which I could respond to on the move when it was not convenient to call while going through airport check-in, etc. I thought that was a nice touch. They even gave me an upgraded room all via text! I traveled there during the first reopening stages after the pandemic and you could see they were taking extra effort to clean and sanitize. There really isn't a bad room in the hotel, I got one of the pool view rooms coveted in other reviews but didn't feel like I needed it. Actually the outer facing rooms may offer more privacy. The pool is okay, not all that special but not bad either, good for a 1 hour dip. Trader Joe's is within walking distance which is a big plus. I also got a complimentary breakfast as a Hilton Honors member I guess which never happens. Anyway to wrap up, pick this hotel for a somewhat special feel.
