    Disappointed in Doubletree

    I visited the Doubletree for 3 nts over the 4th of Jul. My bed was good, but sadly the overall room was dingy and I could see that all surface/doors were not wiped down. There was hair in the shower. The elevator never looked wiped down and the carpet leading to the restaurant was unvaccumed. The hotel seemed close to capacity on Fri ngt based on the parking but on Saturday morning for breakfast there was only 1 person seating guests, answering phone calls for room service which I was denied b/c she was alone in rest. She told me I would have to p/u my food. I only saw this young lady over my 3 night visit.. I waited 20 mins. for coffee to be made -- the carafe in the restaurant and in the lobby was empty, as well as 40 mins for her to call me to p/u my breakfast. She had no support. I was told by Doubletree staff that rooms would not be cleaned daily b/c they were short of staff but the hotel has been open for guests for two months since the height of the pandemic. This doesn't present as a hotel that only been open 1 year. Why wasn't staff called back. I requested additional towels but I had to pick them up from the front desk b/c housekeeping wasn't hitting every floor. This is not what I expect from a Hilton property. I am a Honors member and I have stayed at least 6 nights at other Hilton props in HB since Jan. 2020. I visit often b/c my son's a student @ USM and works at Camp Shelby.

    Erin in breakfast went above and beyond

    Rooms were clean, room size and shape was very cool accommodating, front desk clerk at night was very nice, Erin in breakfast restaurant went above and beyond and was super nice; two people downstairs near the front entrance never acknowledged me so I went towards the restaurant and Erin was super sweet! Thanks Erin! You made up for the other two! Front entrance floors need to be mopped. Everything else looked very nice.

    Business trip

    The hotel is located at the intersection of I-59 and US49, great location. The first experience when check in was good, greet by the manager with nice long conversation. It was not great when got to the room. There was no shampoo, the shower is stain with water stain, shower basin can use some TLC. The house keeping was not happen and the desk clerk said "unfortunate we do not clean the room everyday". Second day customer has to go to the desk to ask for shampoo and coffee. The room was charged for full price and the services is at 50%.

    Very disappointed

    We stayed one night here and would NOT recommend staying here. We walked into the door of our room and found some of the trim laying on the floor. When I went to get a shower I noticed that the shower floor was dirty and the metal tray at the drain was not in place. I had to go to get cleaning supplies to clean the shower. In the morning we tried to make coffee in our room and the coffee maker was missing the tray to hold the coffee packets so we couldn't make coffee while trying to get ready to leave that morning. The carpet in the hallway really needed to be swept and the carpet in our room appeared unclean. This was a huge disappointment for staying in a DoubleTree by Hilton! The only positives I can mention is the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We were given a very small discount on the room.

    Lamentable Experience - Hiltons Standard Fall from Grace? Wyndham is better.

    Staff - Very Poor - NO: towels, coffee Asked Housekeeping 3 times for a Full Setup (bath linens, coffee set up, etc) never showed up, when I called the phone desk Twicefor extra towels was told, You can come down here and get them Im busy. I did so and was given a bath cloth and a hand towel. Bathroom - Very Poor Tub did not drain. Shower head was almost unusable. Water temp took forever to heat up and when it did was lava hot. Overhead light constantly flickering off and on. Sink water presser was nonexistent temp forever cold. Kitchenette - Very Poor Coffee Pot/Coffee supplies - pot barely worked, available supplies was a single packet of coffee. Sink - leaked water all over the floor and underneath. I had to clean it up. Counter top was sticky. Tabletop had smears and fingerprint marks all over it. Bedroom - Very Poor Beds were obviously thrown together. The USB wall outlet did not work. (Video of this available upon request) Massive spider and web hanging from the ceiling. Management - Very Poor On February 25 I went to the front desk to speak to a manager. I was told the GM would be in at 10:00 PM, the desk attendant took down my name and room number to give to the GM in order to call me when He got in. I stressed to her to inform him that it did NOT matter how late it was when he called. I never received a call of any kind. Upon check in - was NOT asked for my Hilton Honors number, when I corrected this on our second day, did NOT recieve any of our benefits, digital key did NOT work. Room keys had to be reprogramed three different times (no they were not kept around anything that would cause this, phone, magnet, etc.) COVID-19 - VERY POOR One, only ONE employee wore a mask our entire three night stay. Nor did anyone enforce the mask mandate despite a plethora of signs posted around and on the grounds. WiFi, was not told how to access or what the password was. Elevator was disgusting. Sanitary towelette stations empty. No Germ-X anywhere. My entire life Hilton has been the apothem of Hotel quality experience. This day was disappointing is Paris Hiltons Attempt into the music industry. Hilton what are you doing? I understand Covid has happened, but I thought the Hilton promise was quality over quantity. The SALT scores are going to be falling. Ive worked for Hilton, and I am a shame to say that now. Ill be staying with Wyndham hotels for now on.
