  Ten Stars

  If I could select 10 stars I would do it. We checked into a place that turned out to be way below our standards. When we drove back into town we discovered the Doubletree. What an excellent discovery. I know that Hilton branded hotels are above average but this one was off the charts for us. Newly renovated and clean and an outstanding staff. Our room was way above average and comfortable. The amenities were great though we only spent the night and we didnt experience them. I cannot say more about the staff other than they were the most friendly, efficient and accommodating that I have experienced in a very long time. I will always plan this hotel as our mid point stop on the way to my family visit in Florida from West Tennessee. In the age of COVID ther are mostly delivery options only available. I will review that later but this Hotel is one of the best I have experienced on my travels domestically.

  Last minute out of town trip

  We needed a room at the last minute due to a family emergency. We weren't super picky just a clean place to sleep. We are Hilton Honors members and are usually never disappointed. This room was very dirty. Dried food on the floor and a popsicle stick on the chair. We also took cold showers because our water never heated in the shower or the sink. Will not stay here again. Attempted to bring it to staff attention and they could care less

  Feels like home

  The staff has been exceptional. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The lobby is clean and well maintained. The room is sparkling clean and I love the balcony in the room! The pool it overlooks is exceptionally clean and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through or with an extended stay.

  double trouble!!!!!!

  visiting the former mayor in dothan alabama and went to look for a hotel , i went to the double tree and was not the true standard of hilton, i requested a v.a medical rate and was turned down by the general manger be cause they only had 2 rooms left , i contacted hilton and his statement was false !! beware of mr. barry stirrat prices !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and place smelled like dirty socks was a old holiday inn , discusting

  Disappointing

  This property was definitely not worth the price. If you wanted lobby coffee they charged $2.50. The in room coffee service area had not been replenished Breakfast had to be purchased. The ice machines were broken on two out of three floors. There were no hangers in the closet. The Crabtree and Evelyn bath gel dispenser was empty and there was no bath bar soap in the shower. Be careful of the drawer handles as they stick out and are very sharp and I cut my leg. All in all lots of little difficulties for a pricier accommodation. We will not stay there again.
