They Do Not Take Care of Diamond MembersI just completed a stay here. I'm a Hilton Diamond member and will soon reach Lifetime Status. What do you receive for being a Diamond member at this hotel? You receive the right to pay $15/night for parking and receive $6 off breakfast...which costs around $15 total. The room was decent...but would not go back.

Nice Hotel Great ServiceWe were traveling from Yellowstone back home to Wisconsin and we decided to stay in Deadwood for the night and try our hand at gambling a bit. The gentleman that checked us in, Chuck, gave us a great deal on price while he was training a new gal at the front desk. The room was perfect-clean, spacious, accommodating, comfy bed linens and pillows and we couldnt have been more pleased. Plus our daughter walked away $400 ahead! Thanks DoublTree for a great overnight stay while traveling. Would recommend and stay again!

Clean hotel very poor customer serviceThe hotel is clean and well kept up. The rooms are spacious but the bathroom is so tiny that two people cannot fit in at at the same time. Instead of tile in the shower they have that cheap plastic surround and the floor of the shower is very slippery when wet. I took my showers with one hand on the hand rail the whole time. The front desk person was very rude and they do not give the customary chocolate chip cookie. In fact the desk person was so rude I hesitated to contact them at all. I had read the previous reviews and was ready for the $15.00 parking fee. But once there it does seem outrageous. There is parking in front of the hotel but it is VERY tight. We parked one night in the underground lot and it was creepy. I felt like I was in a slasher movie. I felt unsafe there and would not do it again, and for that I was paying extra? The $15.00 fee is outrageous. They say that they give you casino credit for it but it is difficult to follow all the rules to get the credit. The hotel has what seems to be the slowest elevators in the world. It's almost worth riding them to see how slow an elevator can go. They do not do anything special for gold members. No water bottles in the room. They give you a $6.00 credit toward breakfast in the only restaurant, Flyte, in the area. Then you get to upgrade their limited menu. We were there 5 nights and between the parking and the upgraded breakfasts we spent almost $200.00 It all adds up. I always choose hotels that have hot tubs. In this case the hot tub is actually located in the Springhill Suites hotel. To get there you have to walk through the casino in your swimming suit. Once there you are confronted with the reality that Springhill suites caters to families and the pool area is full of children. I went to go in the hot tub which a 8 year old child was sitting in eating potato chips while others jumped in and out. I left... I cannot complain about the room it was clean and comfortable, But lots of places are clean and comfortable. I'd go some place else next trip.

NICEWe called ahead and booked a room at the Hilton Double Tree at $73 a night in deadwood. Going to give this establishment a 8.9 Hinge rating (there is something nice about Casino accommodations as they always provide GREAT accommodation hoping you will drop a few dollars in their casino in return (Unbeknown to the establishment, neither of us are gamblers). The Double Tree is located about a 10 minute walk outside the entrance to downtown Deadwood, as it is associated with the Cadillac Jacks Casino which is attached to the hotel. The only added charge was $15 for parking, but they gave us a chit for $15 to gamble with, and we were able to win it back on a slot machine. Tonight we bypassed all the restaurants associated with Cadillac Jacks and walked into town. Wow the town is one after another gambling casino and eatery interrupted by a junk shop place here and there. Interesting environment this side of Vegas. Out of the hotel at 9:45 after a great breakfast at FYT restaurant in the complex.

Great time at the Casino & Double TreeMy husband and I immensely enjoyed our one-night getaway to Deadwood. We won and lost in the casino, but had a great time! The employees were plentiful & helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view of the mountain side. (One-room King Suite) we went into a few of the casinos on the strip, and Cadillac Jacks was by far the cleanest, with great table games, including set poker! It was a pleasure to stay overnight in the same building too! It was pretty chilly outside, so walking around town was not very appealing to us, especially after dark. It was very convenient. The building is non-smoking, but they had a comfortable, heated outdoor/indoor patio, which was regularly cleaned. Masks recommended, but optional! (Thank goodness!) The price for the stay was fair. We even had a problem with billing after our stay. I had made two reservations, and canceled one... so it was my fault for the confusion. I called to get it cleared up... I got the very professional & helpful Assistant General Manager, Michael Freeman. He cleared it up in no time & gave me the refund I requested! So grateful it was so easy! Excellent customer service!! Thank you Michael!!! :) We'll be back!
