  Very convenient for tannuki koji

  Small (tiny) room but clean and good facilities. Decent public bath - two pools and two tubs male side, two pools female side, sauna - Spanish tapas bar opposite and Orrizonte less than 100m away. Covered walkway all the way to the underground pedestrian areas and access to the train station so no problem if the weather is grotty and you forgot your clothes.

  Excellent Value for the (Current) Price

  Room Very tiny, but quite functional with all the amenities including room wear. Noise insulation is a bit lacking, so you can hear people chatting outside. For two occupants, it'll feel a little cramped (and a little awkward using the bathroom due to aforementioned lack of noise insulation), but it's fine for an overnight stay or two. Food Great breakfast buffet. You may have to wait 5 min or so, but the turnover is quick. We recommend making a beeline for the DIY seafood donburi. They also offer a regional yakult-like (probiotic) drink, which we found very tasty. Facilities For accommodations of this price range (though we overheard Japanese businessmen saying the prices dropped after the earthquake earlier this year (2018)), the hot springs setup is quite decent and even had a sauna, as well as a coin-operated washers/dryers. The lobby offers free coffee. The "premium" Dormy Inn across the shopping avenue also offers a free late-night snack (ramen) if you managed to avoid stuffing yourself on local food. They'll also give you free instant noodles if you opt not to have room service as part of their sustainability initiative. Do take advantage of the free taxi rides to Sapporo station--you have to reserve the ride 30min in advance. They leave on the hour and a the half-hour mark, but the driver may call on you early. It's not a horribly long walk to the train station, but with heavy souvenir-laden luggage in tow, you'll want to save your energy in the wintertime for sure. Overall, especially at current prices, this hotel is hard to bet in terms of location and amenities.

  Great Dormy Inn with a good sized room

  Being already familiar with Dormy Inn, I was surprised with the size of the room here as it is enough for one medium sized luggage. Nonetheless, there are some issues with the hotel which is not convenient but I believed it is due to the infrastructure of the hotel and they cant be faulted for this. Firstly, the parking is not within the hotel but just 2 mins walk to the more premium Dormy Inn Premium Sapporo which is just across and the same with the in house restaurant. The public spa (bath) is also quite small and you have to watch the time you bath. Location wise , its right in the tourist area within the shopping belt and between Odori Park making it a good location for the Snow Festival as it is less than 15 mins walk away. Plenty of places to eat and to buy snacks which make this a great tourist hotel

  Good hotel with good room

  The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the JR station. It is however a nice walk as it is city area with lots to see along the way. The hotel entrance is in the typical Japanese sheltered street shopping area. It is convenient and walking distance to the night life area. There is 2 Dormy which entrances are right opposite each other. The onsen area is good and you can chose to use any of the 2 onsen. The free ramen for supper is always a great Dormy brand hospitality. Dormy is one of my favorite local japanese brand.

  FELT LIKE HOME, ACTUALLY BETTER

  A most enjoyable four-night stay. So much to like - delicious free ramen every evening across mall at Dormy Premium, hot spring onsen-used nine times, free coffee in lobby a.m. and p.m., location inside pedestrian mall convenient for-shopping, eating, walking on rainy day, friendly, efficient staff, room itself-comfortable bed, spacious enough for one person, exceptionally clean, well-lighted, 10th floor view of Ferris Wheel, room wear of shirt and pants better than other hotels' robe only, free departure taxi ride to Sapporo station. In a city with many excellent hotels (I've stayed in three others), Dormy Inn is tops,
