  New hotel. Very stylish, proper and outstanding service!

  We stayed in Düren when we came back from Britanny in France and were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the hotel. Not only the accommodation was cozy and extraordinarily clean, the dinner served in the Hotels restaurant left nothing to be desired! Furthermore, the hotel staff is kind, helpful and considerate. Our 17 month old daughter still enjoys the Teddy, she received. Children in general fare well, since toys and a kid's corner exist in the restaurant (for breakfast). We can recommend this hotel for travellers be it with or without children, and also couples may enjoy the view on the adjacent park.

  Business trip to Duren

  New hotel in Duren, decent prices , deliceous breakfast and nice terrace for evening . Close to city center . Hotel has also a fitness room , underground garrage, many meeting rooms and a modern restaurant/bar .

  Nice rooms, terrible dinner service

  I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times now. The rooms are nice and have everything I need. Nice beds with clean linnen. WiFi reception is bad. I stayed in three different rooms on different floors and was not able to do a Skype conversation. I had to switch to mobile data. My worst experience is restaurant During. The first time I went there I had to wait 45 minutes for my starter and another 45 minutes for my main coarse. As a single traveling businessman, you want to be served fast. The last time I was there I was unfriendly told to sit in the back. When I went there I encountered a large group of load people. Again, I'm by myself and would appreciate a bit more quite atmosphere as I'm not there for fun but for work. I requested to sit at one of the tables at the front because of this noise. This was denied, because they were reserved for breakfast. I sat there all the other nights. I ended up not having dinner there. Customer service should definitely improve.

  Very friendly, very clean, but some problems persist

  We stayed here for one weekend night in mid-October. The pros: - remarkably friendly and attentive staff at check-in, breakfast and checkout, obviously the right people with the right mindset and training in the right place - immaculately clean room, almost as if we were the first guests - properly lit, soundproof and modern room, equipped with a Nespresso machine, a safe, a little tablet computer and a complimentary bottle of sparkling water - well organized back office (ten minutes after booking the room we already got a message by them acknowledging our request for a quiet room on a higher floor) - good location, close to the (not very attractive) city center, with the A4 motorway some kilometers to the north and the hills, forests and lakes of the beautiful Eifel region a 20 minutes drive to the south The cons: - the breakfast room was terribly packed with people, we had to wait for someone to leave and ended up sitting right next to the entrance in a sort of bar stool setting, definitely not the sort of relaxed Sunday breakfast we had been looking forward to - the choice of breakfast options was decent, but a lot of items were not replenished (and advertised items like a local cheese selection did not exist at all) - upon check-in the reception was staffed with only one employee so we had to wait in line with several other arriving guests and the process took quite a while (the employee apologized for that, though) - most of the hotel and especially the hallways felt quite cold, sterile and unwelcoming (more like a administrative office building) - instead of a king size bed the room featured two single beds pushed together, with a gap in between - the mattresses were uncomfortable (for our taste), the bedding felt synthetic and cheap, there was no choice of pillows, all of this did not provide a good sleep - the combination of a/c and ventilation system was difficult to handle (judging by overheard conversations at breakfast we were not the only guests with this problem), we went to bed with a room temperature of 22°C and a target temperature of 20°C - and woke up to a sweltering 25°C (even my partner, with a doctors degree in engineering, found out only the next morning how to handle the system) - the bathroom layout was awful, with very little shelf space, only one hook, no place to hang your towels, and with another major flaw: we (as a couple) dont have a problem with bathroom concepts which are integrated in the actual room - however, we do prefer to have at least a separate toilet, while this Dorint features a toilet room with a huge gap between its glass door and the ceiling, allowing for all sorts of unpleasant odour to waft through the room To sum it up, we did not sleep well due to the mattresses, the bedding and the a/c control problems, and we were quite disappointed by the breakfast situation. However, we still give this property four out of five points for its modern (yet too uncozy) appearance, its exemplary cleanliness and, first and foremost, its friendly staff who really made a difference during our stay. (And a final hint to the hotels GM after reading a lot of reviews here: Its a nice gesture to react to guest feedback, but these answers lack credibility and commitment as long as they only consist of two or three copy/paste phrases. Hotels which address the praise and/or criticism individually make a far better impression...)

  Nice experience

  New concept hotel, good breakfast but didn't try the food (lunch or dinner) because of negative comments. Shower is interesting after a few minutes it starts to drop and it happened all rooms we have stayed. The rooms have no minibar, this is not good. And if you order water to your room, water is 6 Euro service is 4 Euro so it is the mos expensive water in the world.
