  Perfectly Located Hostel

  Dongmen 3 Capsule Inn is located right next to Exit 3 of MRT Dongmen station, so transportation is really convenient. Double beds are rarely seen in most of the hostels, which can totally be the reason for choosing this place. Those who love taking hot baths should probably think twice before booking, for the bathrooms were built at where was supposed to be a balcony, so it may be cold to shower in winter days. Overall Dongmen 3 Capsule Inn is an affordable accommodation for friends or couples who value privacy yet only got a limited budget.

  Choose DongMen 3 Capsule Inn if you travel alone.

  I booked a very last minute accommodation when i traveled to taipei. didn't managed to get any good hotel deal i end up booked DongMen 3. It's really good and comfortable hostel with clean environment. value for money and it's only 2 minutes walk to DongMen station. located same street as the famous DinTaiFung, DongMeng 3 capsule inn actually is a strategic location to move around in Taipei. do explore the area around as there are many famous eateries around. The staff are friendly and helpful, the toilet/bathroom is spacious. there is an open area to chill out which is quite cosy. if i am to be back in taipei alone, i would definitely return to DongMen 3 Capsule Inn.

  Best place to stay in Taipei

  Everything was great. The staff is super warm and attentive, they speak perfect English and care that youre having a great time. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from an MRT station, several buses and the ubikes. There is an insane amount of restaurants nearby and theres also a fresh market (so youll have plenty of delicious options to choose from). The hostel capsules are big and comfy, private and quiet. Perfect place to relax after a long day. The bathrooms are big and clean. And you also have a cheap coin laundry. The hostel also provides complimentary breakfast, consisting of toasts, peanut butter, nuttella, butter, oak meal, soy milk and tea or coffee. You can also refill your water bottle for free. Truly a great hostel to stay in.

  Manager-on-duty was a smiley jerk

  Beds look nice in the photos, but manager on duty refused to let me see an actual bed when I visited in person. I explain that I'm looking to stay 2-3 weeks and never make long-term bookings based on pictures alone. He reluctantly changes his mind, *almost* takes me to check out one of the rooms when something suddenly occurs to him. With a gleeful smile, he turns to me and happily says I can't stay there after all due to Taiwan's new coronavirus policy. This is bogus because later THREE other hostels down the street check and double check my entry dates to make sure I'm good to stay with them. Glad that I got to see real Taiwanese hospitality at those other places instead of letting this punk color my first experience in Taiwan. Not sure what his problem was, but I hope it's wasn't because I'm not Caucasian. Guess I won't be staying here ever. Two stars for the hip-looking coffee shop out front.

  Comfortable, new and clean hostel in a perfect location!

  We stayed for one week in this hostel and we totally recommend it. The location is just perfect: its in a very vivid commercial area, in front of a local morning market and walking distance to many tourist attractions and some of the best food spots in the city that are open until late at night (and a 24/7 convenience store on the corner). To go around Taipei from there is super easy: theres a subway station, buses, and public bikes right at the doorstep. We stayed in the double capsule room in the mixed dormitory and we had a super comfortable stay. The mattress is very big and comfy, the two of us fit very well. The capsule is also tall enough for you to sit and go in and out smoothly. Theres extra space inside the capsule with a table to keep your things at hand and tidy, which is a big plus. I also loved that we had two individual lights so I could stay up reading without bothering my boyfriend. The space in the locker is big and it fitted our two 60lts backpacks plus our small backpack. The capsule also has a blackout curtain, with gave us privacy and darkness at night. The toilets are enough for the people staying and were always very clean. They provide shower gel and shampoo and you can rent towels there for a very cheap price. The wifi is fast and reliable and theres a common area on the first floor where you can eat, work, or chill. Theres also a very nice terrace on the 4th floor thats perfect for chilling at night. They provide free breakfast every morning and theres free coffee, tea and drinking water 24/7. Theres a kitchen you can use well equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric oven, stove, and kettle. They also have a coffee shop at the entrance which is very nice. Finally, the staff is super warm and made us feel at home. We had a lot of interesting chats about Taipei and Taiwan culture, and they gave us excellent tips to move around. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!
