  A hotel that shows contempt for its guests

  On 10 August 2017 I reserved a room for a one night stay on December 23 for my wife and myself as an overnight on a drive to Monaco at the hotel Domaine des 7 fontaines at Seyssuel. I gave my credit card details, full address and all other information requested. We subsequently received an email confirming the reservation. We had stayed there on a previous occasion and had been satisfied. Readers can imagine my surprise when less than 36 hours before our estimated check in time I received an email telling me that our reservation was being cancelled as it fell during their annual closure. Imagine, a hotel accepts a booking in August for a room 4 months later without knowing its annual closure fell on the same date. And then cancels the booking 36 hours before we were due to arrive. I have never, in a lifetime of travelling, been treated so shoddily or uncaringly. How difficult would it be to find a vacant room the day before Christmas Eve? This question hovered over us, spoiling our anticipation of our Christmas trip to the South of France. We did eventually find a hotel with a room for us, the Domaine des 7 fontaines incompetence notwithstanding. I shall never again stay here, and I would advise anybody else thinking of reserving with this hotel to try a different one, one that treats its clients with respect and consideration, something that the Domaine des 7 fountains spectacularly failed to do.

  Very relaxing place to break a long trip

  We had a spacy room (without air conditioning) in the main building and in combination with the large garden, this was a very relaxing place to break our long trip to the south of France but not so cheap for a stopover. Fortunately, we had received a discount through our booking. An excellent gastronomic restaurant and hospitable service.

  Mixed bag. Hotel rooms dated, but excellent dinner

  Good airco is important. in this heatwave. But that was not available in our room. Good we had our own fan. Room was dated, Dinner was excellent. Parking spacious. The swimming pool I did use, and I saw many people having a good time. We did not use breakfast.

  Disappointed

  The grounds are very attractive, which is the first thing you see. The walk into the building is encouraging and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However the room was extremely basic. We were given toiletries, but there was no facility to make a hot drink which would have been welcome after the drive from the South. The keys to the doors to the rooms proved very noisy, whether it was late at night or first thing in the morning, no matter how anybody tried there was a great deal of clattering about. The breakfast was reasonable.

  Stayed here with my famiky for one night and would not recommend until they properly overhaul their rooms, customer service and attitude to visitors to their hotel. - There was an issue with pur booking which meant that our children were not included. No attempt made to recompense us or apologise. We were put in a basic unrenovated room with a dirty old toilet and a shower head over the taps that didn't work. Yet we were still charged a premium price for staying +125.... - It is very hot, there is no air con in the rooms or the hotel, nor do they provide fans - There are no facilities to make drinks in the room - The restaurant demands you eat early and shuts before 10pm - You are not allowed to enjoy the facilities the next day, you have to leave the premises at check out time and you be rudely asked to leave - Customer service is not a phrase known by this hotel. Despite making the effort to always speak french whilst there. There was no attempt to apologise for the room error and we wereput in a dump of a room that none of the booking websites include the photos of. If you want to experience the height of rudeness, book today.
