Vacation - BreakThis is a really nice hotel, beautiful pool, nice Jacuzzi, lovely dining area and close to the pebble beach. It is not a sand beach, beware of this. The crew was very helpful, friendly and polite. The room we stayed was a little dark but it did have a nice cozy balcony area. The air conditioner was great, so the room even got really cold at night. NO Internet connection at all, something about something breaking and not being able to fix it. As far as food, I have to say we had dinner, fancy, nice view but the food was OK; and the breakfast was limited not very much choice. The coffee was not good at all.

Very good place to relax!I went with my girlfriend to this place for a period of 7 days, and it was very good. On the day we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist helped carrying the lugage of my girlfriend to our room, so that was very kind of the receptionist. The staff of the hotel is young, professional and very friendly. The pool is very good refreshing and also the jacuzzi. The cleaining-ladies did a good job, about the hygiene i can't complain. We ate 1 time at the restaurant of the hotel, and dinner was good. Because we wanted to eat closely to the beach, we went often to Les Galets Serriera and Le Mare Chiare. You can also eat in the many restaurants and brasseries in Porto. Also very close at the sea. The breakfast buffet was good. You can eat local products like Coriscan jam and goat-cheese at breakfast. At the last day of our stay, we forget to go early at the reception-desk to pay our stay. So we did this in the late evening and the reception-desk was closed. Someone from the staff called the receptionist, she came back to the hotel, very quick, to finisch our payment. She was friendly and not irritated, so professional. Only negatif point is that there were many wasps, not fun if you had breakfast/dinner outside. But i think that the staff not much can do about it, because the environment of the hotel is between forest and trees.

The French Female Basil FawltyThat's the best way to describe the owner of this establishment. It would appear that guests are a major inconvenience to her daily routine of smoking, drinking and lunching. Heaven forbid anyone daring to take the seat outside reception (the only one outside where the wifi reaches), as this was reserved for Haribo, her French bulldog. Her complete refusal to communicate with me (a combination of my Del Boy French and google translate had ensured coherent conversations elsewhere) meant I had to go through the agent at booking.com on her insistence, when we dared to announce we wanted to check out early. His first comment back to me being "what a rude woman". I can only assume that the 30ft blood trail down the steps to our room (see photo) was from a previous guest who dared to ask for a wifi password. These are given out as 24hr permits (we had booked for 7 days), so of course we had to endure the same ritual of huffing and puffing every 24hrs in order to communicate with the outside world. Breakfast was charged at 9 each and was great for fans of breaded items. Croissants and bread being on offer with coffee and tea. Fruit juice became restricted to a tropical mix when the machine broke. Our check out experience this morning was as bizarre as the stay was and I believe her behaviour warrants a complaint. Firstly the owner tried to charge us for breakfast the following day, which I challenged and a new invoice was produced but with much discord from her. My wife presented her credit card but according to the owner it was denied. I presented my card (which had worked at restaurants in Corsica all week) and that was denied also. The owner then flew into a fit of rage and threw the card machine onto a table outside (witnessed by other guests). The reel of paper exploded from the machine and she was screaming and shouting as she tried to repair the machine. We remained composed throughout. Her husband intervened at this point and it was clear she was not entering a pass code correctly. My wife then submitted yet a different credit card (one that she will incur charges for) and it was accepted finally. We escaped from the hotel, gladly accepting the loss of 2 nights costs (she would not entertain a conversation about a refund) and have booked into a great little apartment near Bastia for the remaining 2 nights. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A STAY AT THE EDEN PARK UNLESS EVERY OTHER HOTEL IN CORSICA WAS FULL. EVEN THEN PLEASE CONSIDER THE BEACH OR YOUR HIRE CAR FIRST.

So disappointing! No charm in this place despite the wonderful surround: Advice pass your way: Rooms are small and humid, dirty, wifi is nearly non-existent, food terrible. The buildings are old, breakfast is minimalist some rude staff. Just escape.

Just not worth itWe booked this hotel as a relaxing couple of days during a camp holiday. Unfortunately we don't speak a lot of French and speaking English was not appreciated. The room was quit small and there were ants coming out of the ceiling. Not a traditional hotel as the rooms are in separate buildings separated by a lot of stairs. We could hear everything the neighbors said. Restaurant was also not very good. Don't order the crab soup as it is only a broth and contains no crab.
