  Well worth a visit

  We are a few days into a 2 week stay & so far so good. The place is clean & tidy, the staff are attentive the views are spectacular over the beach & marina. Hardly any brits it is mainly Russians & Bulgarian families. The place is nice & quiet but in easy travel distance to Sunny Beach if that is what you want.

  Beautiful but seriously hazardous

  Very specious and view is stunning We stayed for 7 days got family holiday the property itself is very specious but has serious safety issues the stair rail is too step and wide so 2-3 yrs old can get through and fall more then 5 meter down we use bedsheets to wave the rail as I had 18month old.bedroom windows can open wide not safe at all child can open it and all safely is rotten wood rail can not hold even 5 kg . The bedroom they use aluminium blinds which on the day time is very hot not even Ac is coping so in the day time room is unusable.The positive is quite great for family there a lot of children's entertainment at the cinema free shuttle to most attractions near by supermarket which is reasonable price. At the beach sun lounge and parasol cost 16 lev around £8 a day but you can get parasol in the supermarket for around £8.

  Needing better maintenance & cleaning

  This hotel could have been lovely had it been maintained and cleaned. The pool restaurant and bar have lovely views overlooking the coast at Sveti Vlas. It is part of a large resort for which the reception area is approximately a 400 meter walk away, up and down hills and steps and around the amphitheater. We arrived at about 3am & were shown to our apartment by the security guard and told to check in in the morning as it was too far away to go to at night. We were in block 4 apartment 4. The flush mechanism on the toilet was broken when we arrived & would not flush, we reported it to reception when we checked in the following morning, it was repaired, but broke again a total of three times in the first four days meaning an 800 metre round trip to reception to report it each time. On one occasion it was early evening & we were told that the maintenance man had gone home & it wouldn't be repaired until the following day. The apartment was dirty & some of the kitchen utensils unusable. Tomato sauce on wall next to cooker from previous occupant. We also noticed dirty cotton buds on the floor behind the toilet which remained there for the whole of our stay such was the level of cleaning. I'm curious how long they'd been there & if they're still there now. The glass in the bathroom for the toothbrushes was caked in toothpaste. Cleaner would sometimes go a few days without coming in. They would often also leave what I presume to be cleaning fluid in children's pop bottles lying around in the bathroom. The air conditioning in the main room was pretty ineffective & finally broke in the second week so we reported it & it was repaired. The shower is over the bath which didn't drain away, this got progressively worse over the two weeks we were there, often taking hours for the shower water to drain away. We reported it several times & it wasn't repaired until we eventually spoke to the Rep who got onto reception and it was fixed immediately, but this was our final full day. The pool was dirty, only once saw it cleaned & most days had debris from the previous day on the bottom. There aren't enough sun loungers for the amount of guests & most of these didn't have any padding. The ones that did were of a cotton type material so could not be cleaned so you're lying on beds soaked with previous guests sweat. Staff are mostly unfriendly & unapproachable. It's the first time that I've had a holiday & not known any of their names. We felt that most of the time they did not want to speak to you. The only good thing I can say is that the food served in their restaurant is very nice, although I don't think they actually put any alcohol in their cocktails.

  Fantastic Two Bedroom Apartment With Sea View

  We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, The apartment had everything you could possible need, was very comfortable and spacious. Everything was very clean and tidy. I have travelled the world and simply cannot fault this place for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The Management team were exceptional , very responsive and friendly. They even went to the lengths to buy us coffee for the coffee machine as we could not find it on the supermarkets, and they gave us the coffee free of charge. We will definatly return.

  Basic stay

  We stayed at this hotel for a week in the summer. Most important thing is that this place is NOT suitable if you children under 13. There are hundreds of steps and everything is tiled, which becomes quite slippery at times. The apartment was huge with a working kitchen and a large bathroom. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and as we were on the ground floor, there was a lot of noise from above which started very early in the morning most days. There were a few bits and pieces that need to be seen to by maintenance. The kettle was broken, the towel was broken, a loose electrical socket and a nail sticking out from an armchair! The other issue we had was maid service. The maids didn't come at all until we rang to ask if we could have some clean bedding and towels. The lady on the phone was shocked and explained that we should have had the apartment cleaned every day. During our week's stay we only had our bedding and towels changed once, which is disappointing and uncomfortable on a beach holiday. There is also no access to Wi-Fi or a safe in the room, which you would expect to have in a hotel room in 2017. The pool was beautiful with stunning views and the beach was too. Overall sveti vlas is a great resort but I would recommend staying in one of the many other properties in the town.
