  Horrible dump of a hotel,

  We were expecting a superior room with a pool view. However, we were placed in an old part of the hotel with a disused restaurant underneath, dirty walkways and wooden boards trying to cover broken walls/tiles. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked 3 slides which were covered in rubbish, the pit at the bottom was filthy and the slides had not been in use for a while. The reason I booked was for my daughter to use the slides. After numerous complaints from guests the cleaners eventually on our last night emptied and cleaned the pool and after messing with the electrics and laughing whilst trying to get them working the slides were on for our last day (which didnt feel safe). If this wasnt bad enough we also overlooked the sewage pipes which smelt and meant we could not sit out on our balcony. Although I wouldnt sit out there as the wall did not meet the building and my two young children could fit through the gap with ease onto the fire escape stairs (3 floors up). There was no cot provided, after speaking with another guest we made the decision to keep our son in bed with us as the travel cots were broken and one was even covered in someone elses blood. I am aware on the beach has been informed and provided with photos to evidence this statement already. There were no plugs in the sink or bath and it took cleaners 2 days to find a plug so I could bath my children. The hot water ran out before 7pmwhich I have never come across before on a holiday. There were live wires in the Male toilets in the reception area, luckily my son did not go into the toilets alone. However, children were using this facility daily unaccompanied. There are live wires on the walls in the pool area, it is only a matter of time before someone has a terrible accident. The toilets were all dirty in the restaurant, reception and by the pool. There were broken tiles in the pool, around the side of the pool and around pools which were sharp (cut toes and burst inflatables). The pools were dirty and turned swim wear green. To get 2 sunbeds with a parasol for my family of 5, I had to get up at 5am to place towels down. The indoor pool had no water in it so it was not an option to swim in the mornings. The pools were meant to be open 10am until 6pm. However, it was anything from 10 until 10.30 when the life guards turned up to remove the ropes and we were thrown out of the pool before 6pm so the life guards could finish early. There were not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, the sunbeds were dirty and had old mattresses on them. The staff were rude or unable to help because the manager was never available. The majority of the staff agreed that the hotel was a shambles and they were embarrassed when approached with complaints. The decision to go all inclusive was to give us the opportunity to use the hotel facilities and restaurant. However, the food was the same at breakfast, lunch and evening meal (chips,pasta reheated). There was no variety, the food was cold, I was given raw chicken breast for my children (luckily I cut up their food, otherwise I would of had ill children) and the majority was inedible. Breakfast was between 8-10.30am, however there was not enough food for the amount of guests and was not replaced and all staff could say was food finish. When making complaints I was informed by the restaurant manager that he would not be discussing issues with the chef as they had already has two fights. He said he doesnt listen so you tell him. My children also had to witness the waiters squaring up to each other and shouting in the restaurant. The kitchen was disgusting and again I am aware another guest managed to push their way into the kitchen to gather photos to send to on the beach as evidence. My daughter on more than one occasion found hair in her meals. The queues for food were that long it meant a meal was never eaten together as a family. All of the above lead to us being unable to eat at the hotel and meant we had to eat out at restaurants for all our meals which is not what you pay £3,400 on an all inclusive holiday. There were 4 high chairs, this meant that my son had to eat in his pram and in 7 days got a high chair on two occasions. The high chairs were dirty, no restraints and had ground in dirt. The snack bar which showed chefs in whites cooking in outdoor ovens on the internet were obviously just false advertisement. As the cook wore normal clothing, smoked cigarettes while cooking and only provided chips and a kebab (meat was not recognisable as chicken). When asked about the pizza ovens the member of staff just smiled and said kebab every day. Ice cream was offered between 11-12pm and 4-5pm. However, the queues were that long by the time the children got their turn the ice cream had run out or the member of staff turned them away before the time saying finished. We watched many a child under 10 turned away. The drinks were not drinkable, the juice was not diluted, the spirits were like petrol and the beer like water. The water was not clear. Therefore, we had to buy drinks from the local supermarket. The bars closed early and opened late with staff refusing to serve you until they felt like it. There was not enough staff to serve guests and after 11pm all drinks had to be bought. On one occasion there was a power cut due to the cleaners trying to fix the electrics around the pool. This meant for 2 hours there was no drinks available. The hotel did not offer bottled water and I was informed go buy your own or drink spirits there is no manager available. The mattresses were old, dirty and rock hard, the pillows were yellow and stained. I feel sick thinking about us having to sleep there. The kids club was aimed at the Russian guests. The entertainment or should I say lack of it was a childrens worker from the kids club who danced to the same songs for approximately 20 minutes again catering for eastern European guests. On two evening there were a singer and a musician (man pretending to play the keyboard with a demo on). It was like scenes from faulty towers through the day and Phoenix nights on an evening. A Holiday that we have saved for all year not just for us, but for our children has been ruined and has ended up costing us more than we had expected due to the extra costs of food and drinks on top of the holiday. This meant we could not have the planned days out to the other areas we had wanted to visit due to spending our budget. Leaving us all disappointed. The hotel is not worth a 1 star. This experience has put me off booking via on the beach again as I feel the false advertising is misleading.

  Salmonella poisoning!

  This is the worst hotel I have ever been to and I used to be a holiday rep! Do not stay here, the place needs to be closed down! My 9 year old daughter got salmonella poisoning from the food! Luckily we booked through an agent who have been brilliant and they have paid us compensation as the hotel have totally ignored them! We lasted 2 nights at the Dodeca before we moved, there was no way we could have stayed for 2 weeks! Do not believe the good reviews as Ive been told they are fake! We had a superior room for the 5 of us - sheets did not fit the bed, broken bunk beds with metal exposed, leaking air conditioning unit, dirty cotton bud on floor, dust everywhere, broken blind, no lampshade, broken patio door, broken tiles on patio, big gap on balcony, no hot water and mould in the bathroom. Swimming pool area - every single bed is reserved the night before, nails sticking out of walls, flumes not working, dirty pool water, bins overflowing, mould in the grates, dirty showers, things floating in the water, dirty smelly toilets and generally run down. Restaurant/food - tables dirty, food cold, no selection, no air con, long queue to get drinks, my daughter got salmonella poisoning! Limited food around the pool, ice cream served for around 2 hours a day only. Bar - tiny white plastic cups, drinks tasted disgusting, only 1 member of staff and no entertainment. Staff - they were very good when dealing with our complaints but it is all out of their control, they are obviously used to people complaining as they told us they didnt blame us for wanting to move. DO NOT stay at this hotel!

  Oh my goodness!!!

  For some reason my review keeps getting taken down which is laughable as it's 100% honest and yet the false ones remain. I urge you not to go here, this place is awful. Please see the reviews that have photos attached so you can see just how bad. So here's the list.... Mouldy bathrooms, broken floors, ground floor room got flooded, scum mark around pool, litter bins overflowing, horrible repetitive food, children's park derelict, crazy golf derelict, only 2 water slides working, sewer smell by slides, no air con in communal areas, gym equipment rusty and broken, no beach bar, no indoor spa, beds by pool filthy, broken pool tiles, broken pool steps, watered down drinks, rude staff, dirty bedding, bedding that doesn't fit, Need I go on. Please don't book!!

  Below expectations

  Swedish couple 28 years old staying for a week. All inclusive. This appears to be a five star resort. Reality: NOT a five star resort. max three. Location is good just next to the beach. Couldnt check in when arrived, 1 hour delay. Had to swap clothes in a nook luggage storage room. Bad service in reception from some of the staff, not interested in our staying. Food for lunch and dinner was not good. Too basic and very tasteless, below school food standard. We went out every night to get proper Greek dinner standard. Breakfast was ok. Snack bar served only gyros in pita, was ok. Every day the same, only gyros in pita. No WiFi on the room. Lightning in bathroom partly broken (took 3 days to solve, 3 daily reminders from us) Drain in shower did not work (took 3 days to solve after 3 daily reminders) Check out service was good. can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Hopefully things get better!

It looks like a drab 1970's concrete office building. The hotel is shabby, the grounds are not well maintained. The children's playground is dreadful and the equipment is rusty on a dusty bare earth surface. The main bar open from 6pm is most uninviting and the seating area is drab. The pool bar has park benches with peeling paint. The beach bar is shut and doesn't look as if it has been open for years it is just used for storing beach cushions at night. The food is dreadful. Little variety and of poor quality. The hot food is tepid or cold. No whole fresh fruit, mainly tinned in syrup. The restaurant is like a works canteen. There is no table service and you have to queue for everything which runs out frequently. We ate out every night at the local restaurants which were excellent and served traditional food, but annoying as we had paid a lot of money for 'all inclusive'. An added feature was the dead cockroach in the closed down supermarket display cabinet just near the restaurant! Overall everything seemed to be skimped to save money. During our stay we spoke to the only 3 other couples who also made similar remarks and all said the Dodeca was in no way a 4star hotel. (The hotel itself has 5 star on its boards, business card and WiFi) A complete joke. No official star rating system or any form of a Trades Description Act seem to apply! If it does they have most certainly violated it. I could go on .............
