  BUDGET HOSTEL FOR TRANSIT

  I stayed here for just 1 day. I picked this hostel because of its proximity to Don Muang Airport. Nothing special about this hostel. Small bed, little room, common toilets and staff knew little English but she was kind and polite. If you want to go here follow the Amari Hotel signage in the departure area exit to the right of the restaurant. Below the overpass you will see motorcycle drivers in orange vest tell DMK for 20 baht you will reach in 5 minutes. If you want to save money navigating Bangkok proper ride a bus on the opposite side of the overpass. Look for 510 bus or 29 going to Mo Chit from there you use the train to connect to any places you wanna explore.

  I will recommend, but with foot notes.

  First of all, this property is not really a 'hotel' in the conventional sense , but a set of apartments in residential area. But if you are with family and want accommodation near to DMK Airport, this hotel is an excellent choice. Situated in very safe and quiet area. We booked a family room. The room was large with three beds and was compartmentalized internally into a main bed room and kids room. Room amenities were working OK. If you want to experience real urban Thai life, here is the place you want to stay. The property is in the 4th & 5th floor of an apartment complex. Probably you will be the only foreigner living in this area. So you will get to know how people live outside the tourist centers. They don't serve any food. But there is a large market nearby where you can get a wide variety of Thai food. Unlike other places in Bangkok, Taxi drivers always charge as per meter. It's a 10 minute ride to Airport. If you are travelling alone, you can get a ride on motor cycle taxis for just 20-30 Bhat. The lady who manages this property was very nice and friendly. Foot note : 1. It is more like AirBnB than being a Hotel. Most taxi drivers are not aware of this hotel. So it's better you call the hotel first and ask them to tell the driver the route. 2. It was cheaper compared to other hotels. But if you are ready to spend little more, there are hotels directly connected to the Airport , like 'Amari Hotel' .
