  Value for money

  Stayed here for three nights. Close to the airport, 10 minute walk to the beach and near a busy road with lots of shops and restaurants. The room itself was spacious, however there were lots of ants, a lot of light came in at the morning and you could hear a lot of noise outside. The pool was a lovely feature though, and for what we paid was a surprise. The hotel was set just back from a busy road, which was nice making it a bit more private. Unfortunately there were always children at the end of the road trying to sell us stuff, from which we always politely declined. They became really persistent though and started following us into the mini mart, picking stuff up, putting items on the check out when we were paying and picking up items we had selected asking if it was for them. Very put off by the whole area after.

  Vomit crusted on walls. Bathroom stench made us gag.

  I don't even know where to start. The smell from the bathrooms is horrendous. Literally, so stomach curling that I've never smelt anything like it. It's impossible to shut yourself in the room with the smell so the only way you can use the bathroom is with the door open, holding your breath. We had to keep the door to the bathroom tightly shut when not in use, but even if you came into the room 10 minutes after the door had been shut, you could tell it had recently been open. I can't explain how the stench just pervades everything, it had us gagging. I'm not exaggerating in any way, I wish I could upload the smell here. It wasn't limited to just one room, for reasons I'll explain, we requested another room and the bathroom was exactly the same there. The walls to the bathroom are also coated in sticky grime and the water from the shower is a weak, ice cold trickle. The room looks nothing like the pictures. It's run down, dirty and grimy. There is a single socket in the room and it hangs off the wall. There's nothing underneath it, no table or anything to rest your phone on, presumably you're supposed to let it dangle down the wall? We arrived in the middle of the night and my daughter pulled her bed across the room to find dried VOMIT crusted all over the wall. She would have slept the whole night with her head next to it if she hadn't pulled the bed out. The pool looked lovely but was so full of chemicals that our eyes stung after 10 minutes. The WiFi barely reaches the rooms and is weak when it does. They didn't even have milk for the tea and coffee on the morning. I could honestly make this review twice as long and go into more detail, but I'll leave it with a warning to avoid at all costs. It was filthy and stank. I wanted my money back for the nights we didn't stay, but I was given just half a nights money. We were just glad to get away from the place. There's honestly no point in slumming it here when there are some great properties in Kuta for the exact same price that are really lovely. Rather than book online, walk around and haggle. You'll be able to find something much better for the same price. After leaving here, we found a place that was clean with big airy rooms, incredible breakfast, lovely staff and a gorgeous pool for the exact same price. We know all about budget accommodation in Asia. We've spent the past year backpacking and this is without a doubt the worst place we've ever, ever stayed. For your own sake, just book somewhere else.

  Checked out before the night even started

  We checked in, staff were not friendly or helpful. When we asked if they can call us a taxi to go to the hospital they said no they can't. We checked out after a few hours (upon coming back from the hospital), definitely did not stay the night. Bathroom is disgusting and smelly. Cold water only. No soap, and no blankets for the beds! You get a small cloth the weight of a scarf. Fan barely worked. Either only worked on the highest setting or not at all. It's a shame because it is in a good location and down a quiet alley way with a pool. Has a lot of potential but the run down amenities are not worth it.
