Djeuga Palace un YaoundéNice hotel but the morning breakfast isnt that great. Parking is also another problem as it is located in downtown Yaoundé. Rooms are not really spacious for their price! But security is great! Buffets are lovely!

Decent hotel for a few nightsOverall I would say that the hotel is of a good standard. Our local colleagues recommended it as one of the best ones in the area. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. Ad mentioned on other reviews, the nightclub in the basement is loud!! Take care to request a room as high as possible is you want to get a good night's sleep - I was on the 5th floor and could still feel the bass! The night club seems to happen every night and lasts until early in the morning.

I was shocked how poorly managed this hotel isCheck-in process was terrible. There were 9 of us for a conference & we arrived on a late night flight, hoping for a rapid check in process to get some rest. Hotel told us there was no record of our reservations despite having print-outs confirming the reservation was pre-paid by our company. Took about 2h for them to find rooms for us (i got to bed at 3am). My wife arrived on an earlier flight & the hotel couldnt tell me if she had checked in & had no record what room she was in. There is noise every night from the disco. There is no wifi in the rooms & even in the bar/communal area the wifi is painfully slow. I was there for business & unable to take any conference calls & could barely download e-mail. The room is basic but generally fine. The main issue is the poor management of the hotel. I travel a lot in Africa & this is like a hotel you would find in a small town---I can't believe this is an expensive 'high end' hotel in a capital city. A fair price for this hotel would be $30-40. I would have changed hotel--but it seems that all hotels in Yaounde are expensive & of a poor standard. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Older and needs upgradesFor a 4-star hotel, the hotel needs some serious upgrades. My room possessed a leak in the closet, the origins of which I could not determine in my week-long business trip visit. This leak resulted in my clothing becoming moist. The water pressure is very weak and makes showing cumbersome, vice relaxing. The overall room appearance and atmosphere is dark and gloomy. The television does not work and the WiFi was horrid. The shining light of the stay was the breakfast, as it was superb. I really enjoyed the breakfast. I would recommend more variety, as in the seven nights I was there, it was the same food but overall a good breakfast. The hallways are dim and dark and should also be upgraded.

Not bad at allDjeuga Palace has a good location, people are friendly and the pool is okay, hotelrooms are clean, if you come here for rest please tell the reception. Especially in the weekend there are a lot of parties at the groundfloor area. Weddings and stuff like that. Its also located above a club, so if you want to sleep early it might be better to stay somewere else or ask the reception for a room on the other side of the hotel.
