  Quirky hotel

  Firstly this hotel is also known as the Diss by Verve. Can be confusing. Signs need changing. Strange decor .. not sure why they have life-sized stuffed dogs in the rooms... mix of traditional & contemporary but otherwise comfortable & pleasant overall rooms are very spacious & comfortable. Toilet in Room 8 needs looking at, as does the housekeeping as the toilet was dirty upon checking in. Staff were friendly & excellent food in the restaurant. Didnt stay for breakfast. About 30 mins drive from Snetterton Circuit.

  Long weekend break

  My husband and I stayed at the Scole Inn for 2 nights. We had a room with a garden view through the courtyard. The room was lovely, very clean with plenty of tea/coffee etc and toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast each morning was excellent. All the staff were friendly and polite. We enjoyed a drink in the bar, the seating was very comfortable and the open fireplace made the room feel warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay again when we are next in the area visiting family.

  Diss by Verve does not add anything.....

  We have known this as The Scole Inn since my first visit as an undersage member of an itinerant cricket touring party some fifty years ago. We have called in intermittently on around ten occasions since and always been perfectly satisfied without ever being really wowed. Our last visit confirmed this both in terms of food and service, being perfectly fine without activating the superlatives. Wonderful seventeenth century Anglo-Dutch frontage, with the rear entrance area rather mucked about, again meriting 4 stars rather than the five which we remembered of old. Hopefully the temptation to tinker furher will be resisted.

  Birthdays (shared) lunch

  Due to current conditions (corona virus) they took the decision not to have the carvery set out as self selection,they served food direct to your table. Choice still good + a small selection of alternatives. Good quality and tasty. Staff polite and helpful.

  Excellent staff

  Stayed for 2 nights impressed. Room good . Food wholesome and adequate. Staff extremely friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble We had to leave early on wednesday morning pre breakfast supplied us with bag of goodies for drive
