  Perfect stay

  I loved my over night stay at Woodman Point. So quiet and relaxing. Close to the beach for an amazing stroll. Basic facilities but all I needed. Neat, clean and comfortable. Pool (for when the weather is warmer) and shopping centre not to far away.

  What a wonderful camping ground. Great sites at a good price, lovely clean amenities and close to a beautiful stretch of coast with amazing beaches. Friendly and helpful staff, nice pool for kids. Have already booked our next stay.

  Family friendly, Great location!!!

  Absolutely loved staying here! We had a grassed powered site for our camper trailer which had newly replaced shade cloth on the ground for the annex to go over. The amenities were clean and well maintained. Our only criticism would be that the camp kitchen ovens could do with an upgrade (take forever to get to temperature), however they were both in working order. The location is fantastic. Close to Fremantle and within walking distance to beaches. The park offers pedal trikes which are a lot of fun for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

  Not being managed properly

  We have stayed here a number of times. Reception is only 10am - 3pm. We normally book on the G'Day Rewards site. Have had occasion where they have billed me twice because they couldn't find my payment on their website. We booked online yesterday before lunch and advised we will be arriving after hours but apart from the confirmation, we have had no contact. Thankfully they don't change their gate code regularly as they don't answer their "emergency" after hours number which goes straight to message bank. The message says to call straight back if it is an emergency. You can call back as many times as you want, no one answers. Head office doesn't answer either. Discovery seems to be completely run by messagebank. The park itself is being run into the ground as is the neighbouring park at Coogee. Top Parks (affiliated) are independently owned and in many cases run better by their family owners. My suggestion is if you want to stay in parks that are serious about the service they provide, Discovery aren't at the top of the list.

  Left disappointed by staff encounter

  We have been to Woodman many times with our tent, the kids have always loved it. The beach access is great & site nice and clean. We visited in Oct 2020 & it felt different straight away. Although it was the school hols, it seemed quite empty but it was covid year so nothing was normal. It seemed different though; the woman on reception wasn't the most welcoming & it was so empty. The clientele there though were a bit more 'interesting' than usual. We had non stop loud (awful) music from the tent behind ALL DAY (though they thankfully turned it off in time for bed) & from the tent in front we had all-day drinking, shouting & swearing at kids. But that actually didn't put us off, just one of the those things & a strange year all round. It was literally the last 2mins at the place that left me so angry I said we wouldn't go back. We'd asked for a later check out so had till 12 to pack up, which was great. By this point the place was practically empty anyway. We returned the ablution keys to the office at 12.10pm (10 mins late I know), told the woman we'd packed up & brought the car up front but would it be possible to hire the pool cues & pop back to the kitchen for the kids to have a quick game of pool before we left. It's been 3mths & her response still riles me! She just snapped that we could not as we were 2 hours late checking out. I reminded her that she was actually the one who had extended our check out to 12 and noone was else was booked for our spot. So she pointed out that it was 12.10, we were late and we could not go back onto the (empty) site and must leave the premises immediately! She was quite honestly horrible in her manner & I couldn't believe how she was speaking to me. I was politely asking to pay them money to go to an empty room & play a game of pool and she was literally screaming at me to leave, yet DJ Jazzy Jeff and the family screaming C you next Tuesday at their kids every 3 seconds were wandering happily round the place without reproach. She was so horrid I swore we'd never return, which is annoying because it's a good site & it will be our loss but I don't think I could be civil if I saw her again. And yes I'm writing this 3mths later because I only remembered to whilst writing a nice review for the other site we just went to instead.
