  Great for kids

  We stayed in a 2 bedroom deluxe cabin. Had everything we needed, play area is great for kids. Camp kitchen with fire for cooking marshmallows is large and theres even pizza ovens! Laundry on site but bring washing powder and pegs. Little way out of town but plenty to do nearby.

  Great place to stay

  We hired a superior cabin which has everything that you need plus a outdoor area with table. It was very hot but the air conditioner worked well. The cabins are of a good quality and have everything that you need. The pool was nice but very crowded as it still school holidays. The trees and grass in the park are lovely and the children have a great time on the bouncy pillow and pump track. Also offers a under cover bbq area and gas pizza oven.

  Way overpriced

  A caravan drive-through site (and in fact all caravan sites) on web-site priced at $37. When booking, price was quoted at $55 (along with surcharge on credit card which wasn't disclosed until receipt given), Receptioniste advised of the $37 displayed on web-site, but several days later it hadn't been changed. Then - although cabin area of park looked good, there were some decent looking caravan sites, but one we were allocated was very untidy (we know that twigs and leaves fall from trees, but it appeared that no recent attempt had been made to clear the site). There was a very sharp ditch which impacted heavily on the vehicle and caravan, and it appeared that no attempt had been made to fill it ( and it was not a recently made ditch). The semi enclosed dump point structure had obviously not been cleaned for a considerable time. The hand drier in the gents was only operable by holding the button in (which meant drying one hand at a time). All in all, nothing good to be said for our visit.

  3 night stay

  Suggest you check caravan sites before taking one as all hard gravel have a cement gutter to get over. Grassed sites down the back much easier and quieter. Prices on arrival different to web site. Paid for gravel site but had to move due to leaking tap. Grass site we moved to cheaper on website but no refund given when asked. Was told it was same price. Amenities clean but a bit dated. Central to town and right next door to information centre.

  3 and a half stars!

  Enjoyed our stay at this park, although it was not without its challenges. We (two vans) opted for the ease of drive-through sites, but this meant being closer to the main road and the consequent traffic noise (ear plugs a must). Both sites taps leaked and all four of us experienced problems with the WiFi. The amenities block, camp kitchen and laundry could all do with a make-over, but loved the BBQ pavilion with its massive fireplace and gas pizza ovens. Overall a pleasant, but not great, stay!
