  17 night stay ? No housekeeping ?

  My wife and I stayed here while our house was being renovated, during that time not once were we contacted by housekeeping to see if we required anything.maybe a clean towel? or a clean set of sheets?not even a sachet of sugar or coffee? We even spent our own money washing their towels in their laundry ? The WiFi was non existent, dropping out more than in creating unwanted frustration ,I dont usually bother with reviews but after our stay i thought it warranted my story.

  Do NOT book the economy cabin - left after one night

  We booked an economy cabin as on the website it states most popular We stayed the first night in a superior cabin, due to extending our stay. The superior/deluxe cabin is quite new and was exactly how the website described, clean but a very cramped site. We then moved on the Sunday to our booked accommodation of the economy cabin. These cabins are not fit for purpose and need to be knocked down. I complained that the cabin has not been cleaned and needed a mop. Reception staff were lovely and the cleaner came straight back to the accommodation, bringing chocolates and a gift pack for the children. The cleaner was apologetic and really nice, this accommodation is beyond what a cleaner can achieve, it needs knocking down and replacing it is that worn and run down. Black mould was under the childrens bunk beds, with graffiti which included suck cock for rock, rust marks on the bed sheets and dead spiders dropping from the air vent. The dust and dirt in the windows had accumulated over a period of time. We couldnt allow our children to sleep in those beds so the children stayed in the main bed, I had to spend the first night sleeping in the car and my husband slept in the bed with the mould on the walls. Under the bed a tube of lubricant was found, along with wrappers, dust and dirt. Easy to spot if the floor had been cleaned. I was willing to mop the floor myself, however the mop provided was black and had about 5 years of dirt on it. At 10am the following morning we went to reception to ask for a refund and checked out. The reception staff were lovely and issued the refund and apologised, the offered to put us in the superior cabins, however we couldnt wait to get away from that place. We had booked that accommodation at $185 per night and the superior cabin was $290 per night. I cannot believe that they are charging this price to stay in something that you would not let a dog sleep in. The cabin we stayed in was number 23, the one shown on the website THIS IS NOT ACCURATE, and no way represents the dreadful state this cabin is in. We cannot fault the staff at this park, it is clear that they are trying to do the best they can and it is not their fault that they have to continue to deal with families being sold this accommodation. They are aware on how bad this accommodation is, but that is something that management of the parks have control over. These cabins are unsafe, unhygienic and someone really needs to go and assess how they can be allowing children to continue to stay in these. After a year of lockdown and no breaks, this was something that we booked last minute so the children could have some fun, it turned out to be an absolute nightmare which included driving around for hours trying to find accommodation so they could at least have some kind of break.

  Ensuite Site

  Staff were very friendly on arrival, gave us all information needed for the park. On first look ensuite looked clean but cleaners need to look up, behind and in. Lots of cobwebs and dust behind door, door dirty, I cleaned most of the dust/fluff off the vents in the lights on ceiling, I had to wash out mop that was sopping wet and smelly, bucket very dirty in bottom and lastly the toilet brush holder was disgusting. Rant over but its not that hard for cleaners to check it is clean. Rest of the park looks tidy. Icecream Truck made a visit. Park has entrance to Surf club and beach. Beautiful walk along the beach.

  Local getaway

  Stayed in one of the Dolphin cabins for a little family getaway Friday night> Saturday. Great spot with easy access to the beach and only 2kms to the main stretch in Semaphore. Facilities in the cabin were great, particularly with the deck areas. Facilities in the park seemed fine. Pool and kids playground was easily accessed and clean. Would recommend if you live a long way from the beach or are from interstate.

  theft

  Stayed at this park for 2 nights midweek and although no issues with the facilities etc we did get our car broken into which is a concern. I would suggest the park needs to be more proactive to help eliminate this opportunistic crime, possible night security, more CCTV to deter thieves, and more emphasis on helping victims not hindering. I was told CCTV did not cover the area my car was parked until I looked at the coverage myself and low and behold, there was my car.
